prince was better on guitar during one nite alone tour then he is on musicology

judging from the recent concerts i have noticed that prince is again playing safe on guitar.
on one nite alone tour he realy took it to another level,dare i to say"virtuoso"
judging from what i heard examples"xenophobia" "family name" rotterdame nighttown,ona live la "and most from that tour.
on musicology tour he is playing regular solos without fresh spirit he brought on ona tour.
maybe he is bored because he plays lets go crazy for 100000 time.
anyone else noticed this?

now that you mentioned it, yes he did indeed play the guitar much better during the one nite alone tour.

he realy shined in ona period.

I saw 2 ONA shows - one he seemed to play guitar all night, the other he concentrated more on his singing and keyboard playing. That tour he didn't have a second guitarist so he had to do all the work himself, and it was the best tour for out and out guitar skill in a decade at least.

With this show, he has to run around and work the crowd more, especially with it being in the round, so obviously he has less time to concentrate on his guitar.

Maybe the tour after this one will be for the hard-core fans again?!

prince is still playing kick ass guitar on this tour. Just saw him last night in DC. We even got to see some of the soundcheck right before the show started. He did a kick ass solo when there were only a couple of hundred people in the arena milling around. Very cool.

And then at the acutal concert he did several other screaming solos one of which he threw his scarf over that new baby blue guitar and left it on the stage doing feedback.
