Disc 2 will have a commentary with Director Albert Magnoli, Producer Robert Cavallo and the Cinematographer Donald E. Thorin, 3 new featurettes, an all-new documentary on the Minneapolis music scene, the importance of the First Avenue club and Prince's career prior 2 Purple Rain, another new documentary on the making of the movie and the Academy Award winning music and a third new documentary on the impact of the movie and music on Pop Culture, the response from Prince's fans and the enduring legacy of Purple Rain. Also included will b the following music videos: Let's go Crazy, Take me With U, When Doves Cry, I Would Die 4 U/Baby I'm a Star, Purple Rain, Jungle Love, The Bird and lastly Sex Shooter. Completing the package will be the 1984 MTV Premiere Party TV special and the theatrical trailers for Purple Rain.

sounds great--i'd buy it for the 2nd disc alone. i'm a sucker for local musical history stuff.

The release date for the US is August 24th, while we Europeans
will have to wait until October 18th. But we're getting all three
movies in a box set, haven't heard about that for the States...

And in case anyone don't know by now, both 'Under The Cherry Moon'
and 'Grafitti Bridge' will feature trailers and 4 music videos each, as well.
They're released on the same dates as Purple Rain.
