The music industry's 100 most influential people; Prince is 49th. Here is an article from The Independent stating that "the pint-sized artist" is the 49th most important person in the music industry.

This is a horrible list.....but look at who they chose to make it. They probably gave them a list of people and said "put them in order". I'm not saying this because of where Prince i on the list either.....but look where everyone else is. Russell Simmons at 81? And how many of these people don't even belong on this list? Please!

I think this is the real meaning behind the phrase "shit list"! from a movie scene. I said, "Don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one who will dance on the floor in the round?" Rest in Peace Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009 |

does anyone find it strange that on most of these lists, prince almost always ends up somewhere in the middle? it's like folks are indecisive on where to put 'im. | |

Although I to find these lists tiresome and pointless. I have to agree with who they put at No. 1

I have to agree that this list smells like the rotten bananas that DOOK threw up. But it did teach me something. Leave it to Mr. Bush to not only increase the hate this country receives, but also ruining radio by letting one of his buddies own half of the radio stations. What's the use of being young if you ain't gonna get old

This list has been ripped straight from the latest issue of Q Magazine from the UK. "These are the days... these are the days..."

I really think the whole purpose of "these lists" are a way for The Money Machine to try to justify today's mediocre artists. They take people with marginal talent, hire stylists and choreographers out the ying-yang, buy them a spot on the charts by way of radio, then come up with bullshit lists like this...rating among the truly great and influential musicians.
