Janet Jackson's Next Release Is Compared 2 Dirty Mind

{{{Producer Dallas Austin has called Janet's next album her "Dirty Mind", comparing her unabashed sexuality 2 Prince's sexual awakenings on Dirty Mind. I doubt if the music is comparable in any way, but worth mentioning at least. The link is here: http://www.vh1.com/news/a...tid=193854}}}

Excerpt:

The overriding theme of Austin's collaborations with Janet is her bubbling sexuality. "To me, this is her Dirty Mind," Austin explained, referring to the Prince album that established him as a hormonally charged pop star. "It's a really sexy record, but not in a sensual way. It's bold, it's fun, it's really positive. Nobody's sad, nobody's mad. It's just really fun songs where she happens to be talking frankly about sex."
"He's a musician's musician..."

I hope that means there isn't going to be a song called 'Brother'. Cause we'll end up having a clear image of just how plastic he is lol.

I thought the EXACT same thing! The idea of ANYONE having sex with her brother is nauseating. The idea of her having sex with him...well: barf

From what Latoya accused their father of doing to rebbie and latoya, the song might be called, daddy.

The biggest problem for the both of them would be his bodily parts, i mean he's part acrylic so he's likely to break at anytime. Lets just hope it isn't an exact copy of Dirty Mind or i think barf would be understatement.

mayb Austin compared it 2 Prince but i don't think so... unless Jimmy Jam & Terry L. was being quoted i wouldn't believe it... but nice try... wink

confuse Uh... Haven't her last 2 or 3 albums outlined her burgeoning sexuality? This is getting a little tired, and maybe she should seek therapy at this point- she's pushing 40, for goodness sake.

Wasn't the producers part of Morris Day and the Time, did they not work for Prince before they became what they are today?
So it Probably does have that MPLS sound like Rhythm Nation huh?

No, they lost it after "Control" I think. Either this album is gonna be great or it's gonna be worse than that piece of garbage that was "All For You".

as for the topic at hand...ain't the velvet rope basically janet's dirty mind? she opened the freak door on that one...makin comparisons like that is kinda silly. a dirty mind-type revelation is pretty much a one-time deal, it ain't somethin you repeat over and over for the hell of it.

Exactly...seems like everyone is trying to get some kind of PRINCE nod to their work, think they might think their record will sell better with his name in the mix for thier advertisement which is all it is when the media steps in Propaganda

Talking about sex nowadays is easy! I would like to see Janet singing sex on her third album, not being a Jackson and not being so famous a long ago.
So what?

She practically has! - "If"

"Close your eyes and imagine my body undressed
Take your time cuz we’ve got all night, oooh
You on the rise as you’re touchin my thighs and
Let me know what you like
If you like I’ll go
Down da down down down da down down
I’ll hold you in my hand and baby

Your smooth and shiny
Feels so good against my lips sugar
I want you so bad I can
Taste your love right now baby"

Yeah, singing about sex has been done. especially by her. Now if she started singing about doing the hoovering or washing up, that would be a shocker!

nod Exactly. But I guess this is what happens when you run low on inspiration...you simply repeat yourself over and over. It's a shame that Janet is not ready to move in a new, exciting direction. You can only do the "slut phase" one time, then it gets old and tired.

Janet is still a piece of premium ass and I would bang her at the drop of a hat.
