New Purple Rain, UTCM & Graffiti Bridge dvds in August?

I'm trying not to get too excited about this because I don't know if it's official, but a website reports that Warner will finally release Under The Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge on dvd next August, along with a new two-disc Purple Rain dvd release. Hahahaha... graffiti bridge is shit. UTCM is prob worth it if it had bonus stuff. But a 2 dvd purple rain? hell ya!

This is very exciting news. I have been holding off buying that crappy DVD of Purple Rain that is out now hoping a better edition would be out at some point.

It would be cool if they had a color version of UTCM with the original (one on each side of the disc). I would never say this movie is a classic or anything, but it has its moments and the Mountains video at the end so for that its exciting.

I couldn't care less about Graffiti Bridge.

Y'know, both UTCM & GB are not very good films, but they both have great moments for Prince fans. P's performance of "Girls & Boys" in UTCM is classic, for example. For that reason alone, I'm glad they're coming out on DVD. The best part? With the scene selections you can go right to these cool scenes, watch them like a video, and skip all the bad crap in between!!!

Now, if Universal would get off their butts and release SOTT, things would be really cool!

I know plenty of non-prince fans who love this movie!!!

My sister whose 4 years younger than me, and doesn't like Prince at all...
would sneak my VHS Copy away from my room and watch it over and over again, she was just a kid...but now she's 21 and still refers to UTCM as her favorite PRINCE MOVIE!!!

and doesn't care for 'Purple Rain' or 'Grafitti Bridge'.

Plus UTCM has ran on BET a few times and the kids at my work place, because I work with homeless youth...got a kick out of this movie, and thought PRINCE was cool in this movie...so it'll be great to see UTCM and Purple Rain on DVD!

Grafitti Bridge is an ok musical...but not one of my favorites, I Love PRINCE'S STYLE IN IT THOU, He looks extra HOT!
