If the "time is right" (and it certainly is) why are they throwing away the opportunity with a haphazard collection like this?

It might be a double album.

"I was just looking to have some fun and not work too hard" It seems like some things haven't changed...10 years and they can only come up with four new songs.

I'm gonna reserve judgement until i see the song list. But u know they have more than 4 new songs. Interestingly missing is any new song produced by P. But then again maybe he did and is just on the downlow! U,ME,WE!....2FUNKY!

One disc with the hits and new songs, the other a live disc. But it says very clearly that its a live album with four new songs. Sad thing is, there are enough songs that were worked on for the scrapped "Corporate World" album that they could probably bundle them with the new songs to make a full album. Then again, they'd have to get Prince's permission on those, since the songs were all his, and were recorded at Paisley. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Only 4 new songs? Hell, the first 3 Time albums only gave us 6 new songs so it is not much of a drop off technically

I can't believe people are bitching about getting some classic time cuts live Reunion Radio Podcast - 4 Decades of R&B

It's pretty simple...Hollywood Records isn't going to gamble on a full album of new material from an 80's band. They want to sell cds. A combo album of "live classics" plus four new tunes is a compromise that should grab casual and hardcore fans alike.

when i saw them in atlanta a year or so ago, they mentioned something about a new cd called "old dogs, new tricks"... so, maybe if the live album does well enough, Hollywood will put out the other cd as well... Candy Dulfer is my boo...

All but three of them: "Murph Drag","9 Lives" and "Corporate World".These three tunes remain unreleased and I suppose they could be re-worked for a new Time album. Those are superb songs.

This is suppose to be a solo Morris day album(even though the Live stuff is the current line up of the Time) The show is a Cali HOB show from a few years ago. The new songs are solo Morris, but might have some(but not all, of the current memebers)

[This message was edited Sun May 9 13:05:05 2004 by sro100] That's what I'm saying! Man! This is one of the reasons why I didn't go out on tour with them filling in for Jessie and this was back in 95. Read my thread "Jessie vs Prince pt 2" SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
