Define "closeness". I think Prince did that but with different motives with different people. Sometimes it was because he was lonely. Sometimes it was to discern if a young musician or other artist was someone he thought he could help or wanted to work with him. Sometimes it was because he was friends with someone. Sometimes it was because he romantically dug a female. And I think sometimes he just liked having a lot of women around. We don't know which one it was. From my view of her words that appears to be an accepted view or notion of closeness. But I am of course willing to happily acknowledge that I have no actual knowledge of the inside view of their relationship. Talking to someone more than your mother, this statement usually implies that your close to the person your comparing your mother too. |

For my part, I had to post more here than on the Morris Day thread because I was asking who Tamron Hall was. I had never heard of her. And having been told who she is, I still don't see how she is associated with Prince. Unless we're considering everyone who knew him to be associated acts now. In which case, this forum is about to get very busy with all manner of Mariah Carey, Larry Graham, Chaka Kahn, Will Smith and Salma Hayek threads. Because if Tamron Hall is an associated artist, then so are they. |

They were very good friends. She was guilt-ridden after he died as she had declined his invitation to PP after Moline. I think it was a timing conflict re: her career.
She was so upset after he died she and her employer (NBC?) thought it best she take 1-2 weeks off to grieve. |

I think she was somewhat embarrassed by her display of grief. At the time of his death, she was filling in as an anchor on the news and asked to be relieved of these duties temporarily while news of Prince's death was fresh as she could not remain unemotional. I think she took several weeks off. She was a very close friend.
She said the only other person she spoke with more often was her mother. |

Prince Associates are considered artists usually established whom Prince gave a song or two to or jammed on some Prince inspired music, like Sheena Easton, Patti Labelle, Madonna, Demaris, Misty Copeland, Judith Hill Chaka Khan etc (these persons albums and careers -outside of Prince, should be discussed in the Music or General Discussion forum) Any tweet/tribute they share about Prince via social media will be shared in an general thread created by the Mods in the Associate Artist forum |

The subject of the thread is 'Tamron Hall having a baby', so, unless it is Prince's baby (I understand that Steven Greener is the father - perhaps ChocolateBox3121 was at the conception and can confirm - he gets invited to so many "ultra-exclusive" events!), her pregnancy hasn't got anything to do with Prince.
Anyway, I'll leave the thread here, but - now we all know who she is - please continue the thread by discussing her having a baby rather than which forum it should be in.

Im glad to see she's doing well and seems to be living her best life. Those of us who have been watching she went through a lot after his death. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
