Uh..no. I wouldn't think that I'm still his spouse, and I wouldn't think that I would be head of the Estate like Sheila thought, right after Prince died. I also would've went to the Police and told them what I knew, and wouldn't have waited 2 years before the police contacted me, nor would I have told other people, to not talk to the police or implied they not speak with police, and let them know I would lawyer that person up. The last time she spoke to Prince was 2011.

Seriously, I saw Sheila in concert and she is the consummate musician. You can tell P was an influence in her life...but she makes me wanna shade her about all the other things she says and does. Just saying Sheila.

Yes she is.

One thing I look for is some further insight into the recording process/experience with Prince. I'm still waiting for Morris Day to really talk about it. And Sheila E has disappointed me about it. She seems to talk from a 'dreamscape' standpoint but has not technical details when it comes to the music 1984-1986. I believe Prince, and the Revolution had more to do with fleshing out her music than she probably knows. Or like when she talked about 'recording America' but she wasn't on it and talked about Prince being concerned about something that happened in Africa which prompted him to write America... uh America has nothing about Africa. I'm thinking she might have mixed up another song... Mountains maybe? or Sign o the Times? But I appreciate Sheila but would love for her to sit down look over each album-song and try to remember stuff about the actual recording process. The music is the legacy. And I believe people hearing this Vault stuff enhances it.

They all are serious musicians whether it is Shelia, all the way to Mr. Hayes, I mean but with some, like Shelia and Jill that were tied to him other ways than music there is this constant, tossing a shot here and there. They all may be 100% honest, and they are dealing with the loss, but I dont think now is the time to talk about how one should feel and who sang back up on this not you but me because you were taking a break etc... that seems to be a constant thing with Jill especially, and now at times Shelia. Seeing the Revolution in NYC last week 2 nights I respected them even more than i did last year when I saw them play, they are still dealing with it, but they are the real deal too, and they are just channeling a different form of energy. Im so done with the comments of Shelia about they were engaged and this and that, love her, but that engagement was eons ago. I also gained a WHOLE new respect for Brownmark, I always liked him but never gave him his due, but also as a close PRINCE friend too, he is coming out with a book next year and he has been sharing little notes about how things went, feelings those early days, the Rolling Stones concert getting spit at and bottles thrown, Prince was pissed off, angry, this kind of stuff I like to hear about. I dont really care anymore about HE SAID SHE SAID stuff, its really a turn off, and like I said Sheilia and Jill are infamous for doing this.

I had a chance to confront Sheila a few years ago after she just made the announcement she wasn't working with Prince anymore. At an event with her and her family. I was VERY upset with her for saying that. But my good friend at the time begged me not to do it. She said it wasn't the place.

And nothing much detail about her album process, not just who did what on what. Like you will hear details of instruments wires sound boards, keys/chords, linn triggers, fingers used, equip brands etc when you listen to interviews from the Revolution members, Susan Rogers, Family members, Jesse Johnson, JJ and T Lewis etc

And I know Sheila E is well versed in various percussion instruments and brands

if it happened at PP or at the one off show she did at the Varsity. But it was a tech dream

the way she was going on and on about being in the sound studio with him. the crowd was quiet

cause she was going on and on all tech geeked out, she apologized if it was too much, but we

were all like NOOOOOOOOO, please go on!!!!!!! it was awesome!!! maybe she can't do that on the daytime tv crowd.

That is nice, because that is what I think most fans want to hear. It really is the music and this kind of information that shows the richness of the purple culture. I wish should world learn how to talk about this stuff in doses for interviews.

She was the MUSICAL DIRECTOR on SOTT and Lovesexy---she knows all the tehcnical stuff. i saw her once and she started talking about how she set up all the samples and drum triggers for the tours etc.

I think she assumes 'normal' people don't care about that stuff but i'm sure she could tell us all all about that if someone would actually think to ask her that stuff.

Yeah I know she knows the stuff, I've read and heard interviews by her, but it is usually the non Prince stuff she goes into detail on.

I can't believe she thinks regular people don't care, because regular people buy all those magazines about Drum tech and what not. And she knows, unless she just isn't paying attention, that Prince's fan base is in depth.

In a cute way, I just think she is still 'ga ga' about Prince and that time period. And probably goes more dreamy than technical.
