Saw Judith and the band last night at the Blue Note in NYC and I was beyond blown away by this amazing talented lady! I had seen Judith before but this was the first time in 2 years, and she was wonderful then but she has grown into the most amazing front woman, there is no female out there now in fact almost no male either kicking ass like this. The band is supertight, from her two back up singers who really supply insane energy, to her dad on bass to her mom on keys, a guitarist that was new to me did not see him last time but he kicks ass, and on drums brother can kill it!! For those of you who know the Blue Note here in NYC it is a great venue and you really are right there, well last night I got there about 2 hours before the show and was one of the first and took my seat in front of Ms. Hill's mic and near her piano which she also plays very well, solo on guitar a few times, Judith hits this stage with CONFIDENCE and she should be, she has the voice and stamina to play these shows, she has the musical chops by far and she knows how to carry the crowd and get them going. Cannot wait for her new album next week, she played a few from it and also some from her first album, "Beautiful Life" and dedicating that song to her mom who is a stage four cancer survivor! This LADY is no joke.

Glad to hear that she has developed more confidence as a front woman. I saw her open for Maceo Parker a couple of years ago solo on piano and while she was great she didn't seem that comfortable having the spotlight alone. She seemed to enjoy herself more joining Maceo's band later on. Of course, many of the songs she performed were from Back In Time and she was raw and emotional singing them (not long after Prince passed). I'd like to see her with this band and I'm looking forward to the new album, too.

It really does. It's the best album I've heard in a while. I think I may actually like it better than Back In Time but I still listen to it quite a lot, as well as her latest singles that aren't on Golden Child.

Funny how people try to dismiss her talent; if she hadn't been associated with MJ and Prince, it would probably be different. I think her biggest challenge is developing her stage presence as a front woman of a band.

I saw some clips from her show at The Troubadour last year and I thought she was great! Her recent shows in Europe as well.

As I've stated on here before, I saw Judith open for Maceo Parker at the end of 2016--just her solo vocals with piano. Very talented lady. She performed many songs from "Back In Time" and seemed melancholy and overcome with emotion during the opening set. Later, when she joined Maceo's band during the encore, she seemed more relaxed and happier. I hope to get to see her show if she travels with it.

Yes I can imagine that she was quite emotional at that time. There's a short clip on YouTube of her performing the end of "Wild Tonight" at The Troubadour and she looked like she was having a blast up there, dancing and everything. I hadn't seen that side of her personality and she had a great stage presence. I'd love to see her too if she comes this way.

I think Latin said on here or another thread that she was supposed to be in it.

Yes,I believe that Latin said she was starring in it. Sounds like it will be a good show from the write up.

She is on total fire right now, with her touring and shows, and just music all over the place, singles, her amazing record such a great creative talent.
