I remember her mentioning the lyric "like chocolate cake with no milk." I believe I ran across the interview the other day but I skimmed over it and must have missed where she said it was a duet with Prince.I'll look for it again. I remember the first version of the song that he began performing at the W2A shows was very different in it's instrumentation and lyrically as well.I can't recall him reworking a song so many times. I'd love to hear the other versions also and even the instrumental track that Andy said was recorded in the studio.I think the music is beautiful on the demo.

Agreed. I hope I'm not mistaken as I'd definitely prefer a duet to a rap. But that's just personal preference smile

Yes, I would also prefer a duet over a rap unless it was in the style of Mr. Goodnight. I think he sounds nice on that.I found another article where she mentioned a duet with Prince but did not give the name of the song. www.idolator.com/7615963/...ay-?edge=1

Thanks for the article link, pink! Not only does she not mention the title, but it's not clear to me that the planned song was ever recorded...or written, even. And, this was published in November 2015.
Here is what I consider the most germane portion of the article:

"The 24-year-old confirmed that
her sophomore set will contain a duet with Prince. 'He’s on the album,' she revealed. 'He’s writing one with me on the new record and yeah I did some stuff with him on his album.'”

You're welcome! It does sound as though she may have been talking about a different song.I was not aware that Prince would turn his doves loose and let them fly around the studio as she said in the interview.I was disappointed when Andy said during her 2013 Spreecast with I Rock Jazz that she and Prince had not recorded a studio version and I could tell that something had changed with their relationship, by the way she reacted to the question about it.I remember that she said "Never say never" and that there was a chance that they might record it someday but unfortunately with her FB Q&A in 2016,we learned that never happened. sad

I was also surprised to read her comments about the doves, as I don't recall anyone else ever saying anything in that regard.

Here's part of her interview with Seth Meyers posted on 8.12.15 where she talked a bit about working with Prince at Paisley www.nbc.com/late-night-wi...ce/2890883
