Be Quiet/Don't Say anything is common action when it comes to the cops
Don't say anything until you talk to your lawyer etc

You always get a lawyer and talk first, or you might end up confessing to something you didn't do.

Cops will try to trip a person up to catch them in a lie or to flesh out the truth. And most people don't know the law and what to do or not saw when being questioned by the cops.

Miranda rights are for persons in police custody, Judith wasn't in police custody AND volunteered to speak with the Police AND had her lawyer with her...

Nope, in a lot of places people have the right to not say anything even if pulled over as long as they are complient to the officer: show license and registration

I'm finding myself wanting to stick up for Sheila a little here, i think she's getting a bit of a raw deal. I for one have been quite harsh on her since P's passing. I didn't like the way she acted like his widow and spokesperson, and i hated the use of the symbol on her merchandise. But i believe all this furore around her telling Judith to lie was just her way of trying to protect Prince and not have the truth exposed to the world. In that respect i think that makes her a good friend. Of course she had no way of knowing it was all going to come out anyway. Its not right what she did, but she is hardly the devil incarnate like some are painting her to be.
