H'm, I wonder if this works into Spike's block party at all? I went the last two years and Spike did say it's annual, but I can't find any mention yet of when it is this year. I have mad respect for him, he was the first one to do a real tribute and do it right. The whole symposium thing might be cool, too. Yale had a... I think it was 3-day conference? on Prince and Bowie last year and it was really interesting. A bit over academic, over earnest, intense but it certainly made you think about the impact they both had. And FYI, Darling Nikki played by a symphony orchestra is both awesome and (perhaps unintentionally) funny. Thanks for posting Latin, I'll keep an eye on this for sure! This is the first I've heard of Darling Nikki ala symphony...now I'm trying to imagine it. I bet it was a true purple experience and that Prince would have loved it!

A quick skim of the event shows her doing a keynote on Friday, but not much else (unless I missed it). I'd have to burn a vacation day to attend. Add to that Spike's Purple Party on the 9th, a Time concert on the 15th (Foxwoods), and another concert in Pennsylvania the following weekend, and you gave a recipe for exhaustion right there! ;-) Are you planning to go?
