He said something like that in a podcast of his.From what he said,he seemed to agree that Prince may have had some lingering feelings for Mayte but he said that he felt his pride may have kept him from admitting it.He also said that Prince was interested in dating Misty Copeland and Dani Leigh as well so he didn't make it sound like he was pining away for her or anything like that.It would have been nice though if he and Mayte had become close again if that's what he wanted.

Prince was really something else. If the story about Prince asking permission is true, I think it shows quite a bit of humility on Prince's part that he asked her boyfriend's permission first.

Yeah it was does.I agree. He was very respectful regarding Mayte.I'm trying to find the podcast where Dr.F said that about Prince and Mayte.It may have been one he didn't title so it may be kind of hard to find.The one where he mentioned Misty and U Will B is episode 15.He said the song was a spinoff of Gingerbread Man which was inspired by Bria/Misty.He said Misty inspired another song but he didn't say which one.He also said Mayte was a bit upset that Misty used the same routine to The Beautiful Ones that she did in 1993.

I've always loved that photo of her! In Dr.F's podcast #43 he said that she never got over Prince and he was her first love.He was very upset about the negative comments on his website about her book and stood up for her and said that she had a right to tell her side of the story.

The location was chosen becuase of where Prince used 2 attend as a child - the pastor who performed the ceremony was Kirk Johnson's brother. The bride's mother Nelle Garcia, preceeded seven flower girls down the aisle. Kirk Johnson was Prince's best man, and the maid of honour was Mayte's sister Janice Garcia. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Ret. Major John Garcia. A new song 'Frined, Lover, Sister, Mother, Wife' was played twice during the ceremony as they both recited their own vows 2 each other.

After the intimate 35 minute ceremony, they held a private gathering in a small room with 4 tables at Paisley Park where they cut the cake and fed it 2 each other, then danced 2 the new song once again.
