That might be a problem when going for the young and/or naive ones. However, he had a natural orphan detector, he'd find the ones who had been abandoned in a way, just like he had been, and then he'd play mother/father/brother/sister. That's how he bonded.

Interesting.Vanity described him in an interview the same way.She said he was very nurturing and loved to take care of her.I don't know about the other ladies he had around him but his last girlfriends seemed to come from healthy family backgrounds but perhaps you don't necessarily mean orphaned or abandoned by a father or mother.

I see. Actually, I don't really know a lot about the women in his life since after the 90s. I can only speak of the times before and that was a pattern I noticed.

In the interview posted in Music & More with Snoh Aaalegra who was a close friend, she mentioned that she comes from a broken home and didn't have a good relationship with her father so it seems that may have still been the case with some of them.

I wish they would all stop with the I know who’s real, who’s fake BS. Why should anybody trust Jill who wasn’t around since like forever? Then it just becomes is she telling me what I want to hear and if so then she’s legit. Meh.

Exactly she's no more qualified to speak about his later years than you or me....

:Yeah that:

Let us not forget. If they don't play that cryptic game, they'd be bored and have nobody to talk about them. The longer the game, the longer they enjoy the gossip, ...but Prince passing is not a joke. Fans are still devastated.
This is my normal life. These marital standards cannot be recreated with money.

It's almost like Prince's associates are all at war with each other. Prince wasn't joking when he said he had a "Purple Army". lol

I don't think they are. Everyone is doing their thing. The only people that have attacked others was Jill Jones, Elisa Fiorillo and then Apollonia's stuff that was vary vague.
But the others haven't gone after anyone

Whether anyone likes it or not, all of the people who were associated with him have a right to speak. Whether it be early, late or life long associates. They all can shed light on the man, the myth, the legend that is Prince. All I ask is that they keep it factual. Don't venture into rumor/gossip.

True, but I mean in terms of people who have been saying stuff in social media, and kind of doing finger-pointing and such. He said, she said.

Keep it real. Prince did not like gossip and lies being spread about him, so his associates should do the same.

I think Prince realized later in life what he had been missing all of those years -- a real, deep, spiritual connection with someone. I think he was very attracted to Tamron Hall, because she was very smart and intellectual. Like you said, as we age, sex is not really at the forefront of our lives; we grow and learn what is more important. I think when Prince was young, it was all about sexual gratification and lust. When you have that emotional bond with someone; all the other stuff (sex) is just icing on the cake, so-to-speak. At least, from my life experiences.

Yes. I always got that feeling. The lyrics in "Somewhere Here On Earth" made me feel he could see pain in someone's past...something people with healthy childhoods are not necessarily able to recognize.
