You are not a messager but a source. The contempt you spill on others come from you. Don't project your views on reality.

.

For the last few months, I've hardly read anything from you but negative things about everyone but Prince. You behave like some sort of stalker searching the org for any post about those associates you dislike so you can immediately bitch about them. This is nothing less than obbsessive. You may not be bitter outside of the org, but you sure do everything you can to look bitter.

.

In the end, I'll say it again and that's the only thing to discuss: those people have never done a thing to you. Therefore, your contempt is nothing but pure wickedness. Most likely you like to hurt people because you cannot ignore the fact that those people you target may occasionally run into one of your posts.

What part of facts do you not understand? I am not the source they are the source via their actions and comments. These people are two-faced, smug, and entitled. I find their behavior to be wicked and it is too bad you are so pressed to communicate with them that you are pretending that have not said what the said and are doing what they are doing.

They do not have to do anything to me for me to point out their behaivor. It would be like watching someone get the shit kicked out of them on the street and walking away because hey it is not my business. I am not that type of " douche bag" if I see something wrong I am going to comment and no one is above being called out even I am not above being called out but I am not two-faced.

I hope they do run into my post or at least take the time to go back and look at the shitty stuff they said when Prince was alive and well. Those comments and post did not vanish into the abyss.

Your comparison with someone being beaten up in the street is so gross and inappropriate in regards of what we're discussing that I see what sense of "reality" you are talking about.

"If I see something wrong I am going to comment and no one is above being called out" usually means "I'm gonna force my views upon everyone else and condemn agressively whomever doesn't please me". I know that kind of thinking and I know where it leads. The only thing is that if you have a problem with someone, you oughta go talk to them, tell them what you think of them and settle it once and for all with them. Bitching, gossiping and trying to destroy people's reputations is not "good", Laura. Leading campaigns against people is not "good". It's not your place to harm other people's reputations. And if the reason why you're doing it is because you think those people have spoken badly about Prince, doing what you accuse them of doing is not gonna make you any better than they are. What you're doing is what every decent moral values, philosophy and religion condemns as mischievous gossip. You are not doing any "good", just making the world a worst place by spreading the idea that it's OK to be judgemental about others and vocal about it.

The problem with you and the people who think like you is that you're doing evil while being convinced that you're doing good, hurting people while being convinced that you're helping others.

So I know I won't convince you, madwoman that you are, I'm not even really talking to you anymore at this stage, I'm just repliying to try and reason those other people who read us and might be tempted to join you in the bitching party.

And however I may condemn your behavior for both moral reasons and the harm I believe it's doing to this community, let it be clear that I don't condemn you as a whole person. I'm sure you're sincere in your madness, I'm sure you can be super cool and super nice to the people you like and that we may even get along in a different context. But enough is enough!

You act like Mark is your buddy and he is going to melt from my comments. Get a grip.

The only thing he is worried about is the fact that Prince did not take him shopping. Look at the idiot comments you are defending.

It's not our place, strangers that we are to both of them, to pass judgement upon what occured or was said between Prince and Mark.

I never said I was Prince's friend. You are not Prince's or Mark's friend either. So what is your point? Mark talked bad about Prince but now he wants to sell books talking about him. Don't tell me what my place is. Are you out of place for stating that associated people don't to come here because Laura and other speak their mind just like Mark, Prince, Mayte, and others did. That is bull. I don't care if people tell their story but I do have a problem with people selling shit to the fanbase and want to act like they are so perfect. I have a right to read or listen to any statement Mark makes and assess what it means to me. If that runs associated people away, so be it. If one is going to talk, feedback is a given and the feedback is not alway going to be nice/positve. I don't agree with people getting rude or disprespectful.

Don't give me that BS about your "rights". No one's talking about anyone's "rights". It's as much my right to disagree with what you or Laura are saying and being vocal about it than it is yours to disagree with what Mark says and be vocal about it. We can disagree and even agree to disagree or argue forever, but this has nothing to do with those friiging "rights" people now cry about every time someone disagrees with them, as if a gun was put to their faces.

But we're cool. We strongly disagree on what is moral and immoral, it's life. I'm going now, have a nice day hug

Hanging out with the women that ran off with your husband is foolish. Not having developed your own carreer over a 20 year period to the point of hanging on to a dead man who did not even want to associate with you is foolish. My opinion and if it botherd her should could have kept her business to herself.

Telling the entire free world that their was a campagin to break up their marriage when your husband never kept it in his pants is nuts and she just has to deal with it.

Don't put your business in the streets if you do not want the blowback. You did not see Prince doing this stupid shit and none of his associates have learned at damm thing from his example.

I am not going to go back and forth with you because you want to defend madness because you are thirsty for mindless gossip and lies from Mark and others, so you want people to kiss Mark and others like him ass and it is not going to happen. People agree and disagree I don't have a problem with that. But to say that because some orgers say things that is not the popular opinion and that is the reason why people don't come here is bull. No hugs for you as you felt it was ok to say Laura is bitter and lonely because she has an opinion that you don't like.

Mark or Mayte could save a thousand people's lives than Laura would still bitch on them. She doesn't know what she means: she's just lonely and bitter. But this kind of behavior (Laura isn't the only one) is doing a lot of harm because those people won't ever come here and talk to us. sad

Did they ever before?

They may have not but believe me, many associates read, or have read the org. And if they don't, people they know do, and tell them what's going on here.

Hate towards associates has been there for as long as I have, and that's 16 years now. You don't know the horrors I've read over the years, some real mean shit has been written. Luv4u recently said the Cat Q&A was cancelled because of things that certain people said about her. I mean seriously. Associates come here and read disgusting things either about themselves or people they most likely know or at least respect as fellow professionals, and you expect them to come here and talk with us? A few are above that and came regardless, MBN on a regular basis (he's really cool with us!), Michael B, Robin Power, Alan Leeds, Dave Friendlender, Michael Koppleman, Jess Sutcliffe and a few others on special occasions, but obviously most associates would just think that they have no time to lose coming here and being shat on by perfect strangers when they have better things to do. Those people are not our bros or our friends, they're professional musicians or music business people who have been working hard and struggling their whole life to make a living, they are respected by their peers and what? A few hateful nobodies who don't know a thing about them, people they've never met, spoken with, let alone done a thing to, just come here and call them names or lead campaigns against them, and they're supposed to just shrug and come here to be insulted in person? Nope. That's not how the world works. Ben has decided on a very liberal policy and people get away with a lot of things in the name of freedom of speech, but if this board was moderated more strictly, it's likely a lot more people would come and speak to us. They are obviously more eager to interact when invited by the likes of Michael Dean, the Peach and Black podcast or Dyes, because those people show respect. But a few orgers are enough to turn this place into a zoo and keep most associates away. It's all about respect. One may not like Brownmark, one doesn't have to come and say it here day in day out, and if one does on a specific topic they can formulate their critics in a polite, respectful manner. Not that Mark has ever done anything to anyone here, though, has he?

I wonder about that...see the following link to a September (20) 2015 thread - http://prince.org/msg/5/419009 - in which Cat's publicist promised a Q&A w/Cat that never came to fruition. The final post, again by Cat's publicist, on November 12 promises that answers are "on the way" and then.....nothing. I don't deny that some statements were made about Cat that could have factored into a final decision; however, could a previous Q&A session that is unanswered show a pattern of noncommittal behavior?

On the subject of Mark, I simply wonder, if indeed this book is fully autobiographical, why is he drawing attention to Prince (some still mourning and clamoring for any info about him) by titling the book using the words "Purple Kingdom"? His musical journey has encompassed more than just his collaborations with Prince, no? Maybe a sub title/descriptor along the lines of "to include stories of his work w/Prince" would assuage any claim of riding someone's coattails to achieve an end result?

It's just a lot easier for them to blame the posters, then to say that Cat broke her agreement. That way it looks like someone else's fault other then Cat's.

The final post, again by Cat's publicist, on November 12 promises that answers are "on the way" and then......nothing.

His musical journey has been short outside of his time with Prince. If he wants to get his book publish by a real book company he has no choice but to spew some dirt and use Prince as a selling tool. Outside of the fan community no one knows who he is.

luv4u's statement about it. If you wanna accuse a mod of lying, feel free to go and confront them.

"So long as folks keep spewing venom at associated artists on the org then they will or could be turned off to doing Q & A's.

Some of ya'all spew that venom, and then expect them to do a Q & A??? disbelief

Ya'all don't realize the damage that you do as well as the work behind the scenes that we Moderators do to make this happen.

Ya'all don't know these associated artists on a personal level. They ain't yo mamma.

Show some respect and purple love and it may go far in an awesome way.

Nuff said."

I see y'all are only here to troll, spew venom and have fun moblynching others, so there's little point in discussing with y'all bullies any further. I can only hope the people in your life are showing you more kindness that you're capable of displaying here. Databank out.

It's just a lot easier for them to blame the posters, then to say that Cat broke her agreement. That way it looks like someone else's fault other then Cat's.

No we can blame the posters who knew that she was doing this for us and took pleasure in posting stuff to make fun of her and such.
