What I don't understand about Prince, is why wouldn't he tell someone, if something was wrong? You are not living a full an enriching life, if all you wanna do is keep secrets from people.

It's very sad and heartbreaking to think that Prince kept all of his pain inside and did not tell a soul.

I wonder if, deep down, he struggled with insecurity about being abandoned or unloved and that his fans and others would abandon him or stop loving him if they knew his predicament and dependence on pain-killers. She just called some poor dude a meatball on her IG page ... what is her problem? highly highly sensitive when fans make ocmments on her social media pages

Prince's "image" was very, very important to him, and he was in control of everything he did in his life, and his dependency was unfortunately, one of the things he could not control. If he was hurting, I wish that he had the courage to tell someone and get help, but maybe his foolish pride got in the way and as a iconic rock star/legend, he did not want to appear weak or appear as a failure. Which of course, none of us would think that of him (at least not me).

Prince's drug free image meant the world to him. He was very agitated at his last public outing at PP that the world would find out about his secret. Majority of men don't like ANYONE to feel they have that kind of problem.It makes them feel and look vulnerable. It's the reason his intervention had to be a COMPLETE secret to the world and why Kirk is honoring his privacy to the end.
