I have mixed feelings about using permanent lead singers. The Revolution avoided that and I respect them for it. And some of the latchers on who barely worked with him...Well, I don't know what i think. But hearing Morris and the guys pick out their favoirte Prince songs was cool. And he couldn't be more right about Question of U and JOy in Repetition...

Plus, the interview just made me laugh. MOrris is funny as hell. He stated in another podcast I listened to that he wasn't always sure why Prince kept him considering MOrris figured there were better keyboard players. Well, MOrris is funny as hell. smart as hell, and pretty professional--that is at least partly why i imagine. . These fellas are rowdy (even in middle age--I can only imagine what SOnny T was like...LOL). NO wonder P had to keep them in line sometimes...but I imagine he also enjoyed their energy more than a few times.
