This is very sad news, as she is still a young woman. I pray that she recovers fully.

According to this article, "Her talent was recognized by none other than Prince, who called upon Warren to DJ for him not long before his death in 2016. She reportedly jammed with the Purple One, as well as DJ[ed] several after-concert gigs during Prince’s final tour."

She was interviewed after his passing in the report linked below.

She was entertaining at the after party after the Oakland P&M shows.

Check out this interview with DJ Pam "The Funktress" speaking about Prince on the day he passed away. It is entitled "Pam "The Funkstress" Warren on KPIX5 TV" and was posted on YouTube by the journalist that interviewed her.

"Published on Apr 21, 2016. She runs a catering business by day. And most weekend nights, Pam Warren works the turntables as a very popular Bay Area club DJ known as "The Funkstress." Prince recently handpicked her to join him onstage during his recent tour. He re-nicknamed her "Purple Pam" and "Turntable Queen." As you can imagine, she is heartbroken..."
