I read that in 2015 Denise Matthews (aka Vanity) was in pre-production discussions with Stan Foster (actor, writer, director, and producer), who appeared in Action Jackson as a teen. The film was going to about her life based on her book, Blame it on Vanity. She mentioned it on her Facebook and it sounded like she was seriously considering this venture. Stan even took to Facebook himself asking who should play her.

Anyway, I emailed him some time ago asking about it, but I did not hear back.

Since her passing, does anyone know the status of this project? I would love to know.

It sounds exciting!

She had such an interesting life. If done right it could be interesting.

Agreed! Her life was an adventure and if this movie ever comes to fruition, I would love for it to include some of the information from her unreleased memoir that has been recently shared.
