No the song exsisted before Mark came along and Do Me Baby is "Frantic Moment" by Eddie Hazel.

I just heard this acoustic version today and now I have no use for Mark and his stories.

Stay on topic. We know P's history with Do Me Baby and this Kiss thing has been discussed before. Mark constructed the song and then P wrote the melody and lyrics based on an instrumental? Is that what you and he are implying? Giving credit for playing on a song, or producing or arranging is not the same thing as writing (legally). When Prince played Kiss live, he doesn't use the Mazarati instrumentals...so whose song is it then?

ALSO a "Prince/Eddie Hazel Moment": The intro Guitar lick in "Love 2 The 9's" is "LIFTED" from the P-Funk Gem "Physical Love". It is ALSO on Eddie Hazel's solo LP and also vocally on Bootsy's 1st solo Album!!!

cool

BrownMark has always seemed to have a little brother/big brother relationship with Prince.
I remember watching an interview with the Revotion and how he choked up and broke down talking about Prince.

.

Guys go shopping together all the time. So I don't understand the slight toward Brownmark on that.

Even Dez talked about talking to Prince during the PR era and said hey let's go to the mall(ie shopping) and Prince was like "I can't do that stuff anymore"

.

If you think about shopping from the terms of two musicians, think about places like 'Sound Source' or many other stores that sell instruments and all the technology surrounding them amps and sound peddles. Not to mention record stores.

.

So again, I don't understand the humorous undertones of 'go shopping' with Prince and Brownmark.

Prince did not take men shopping with him this is what Mark is complaining about. The interview that you are speaking about is Dez coming to D.C to see the Purple Rain show in D.C. Prince sold out 7 shows and had so many people clamoring to get into a local salon they had to swept up his hair and take it with them when they left the salon. Dez was talking about going to Georgetown to hang out and Prince was telling him he could not do that any more and he could not. G town was more of hang out area back then for the well to do. Prince use to stay at the Four Seasons in Georgetown.

their feelings and emotions and ramblings about P. but here is case where a male is speaking

and sharing. I bet he kept most of his P Keepsakes. wink
