Everyone on this thread is confusing the shit out of me, but I really do believe that Shake Your Memory is about Prince. Mostly because of the mention of the photo book and "handwritten notes" part. The parts of the song you mentioned make me think it may be about Prince as well and what he says in Big City "I gotta plan for me and you."which made me think of the line in Shake "I got big plans for us babe."I had never noticed it until recently.On the other hand,Andy had broken up with her boyfriend prior to the recording of the EP so it may be about him leaving her.She may have dropped a few hints that it's about Prince too-didn't know her brother had.The song is about her man finding someone else and if it is about Prince it makes me wonder who she's talking about seeing him with.

No disrespect but I think it's comical how certain people are finding anything possible to connect these two. Since everything Andy has ever done after her time with Prince is Prince related, PLEASE find the connection with her choosing Man in Black as a cover for the EP. Oh wait...maybe I know. Well Andy said herself in two recent interviews that most of her songs are about Prince and "their time together"and that she still draws from those experiences and that she thinks "most people get that".She covered Johnny Cash because she loves his music I assume.

Right.Just going by what Andy said herself in an interview with Kiss FM while in Australia and I think Big City may be about Andy for a few reasons.The song also seemed to go with Superconductor as Prince always played them back to back in 2013 and Andy sings in Superconductor,"From the big city to Cameroon."Their song Time also mentions "a dirty hotel room,a lyric in Big City.Since she said "most or a lot."of her songs are about Prince,of course people will speculate.I'm pretty sure Don't Ever Say is one because after he passed,she posted the lyrics "You're the only one who's seen my scars".She first sang the song in early 2014 after they had parted ways,along with Time Heals All Wounds.Most assume Dandelion is about him as well.Andy's Q&A's on her FB posted on Dec 26th 2016,May 22 2017 and her latest on Sept 11th also shed some light on a few things.

I believe her because she was not asked directly who he was dating. She mentioned this in context to how he got the idea to go natural with his hair. I am not saying she is incapable of telling tall tales but just listening to the interview and the course of the conversation.

I also notice that she is very consistent when she talks about Prince and is even honest about not really being a fan when she first met him and saying how he could be an asshole at times.

I even listened to her interview on YOUTUBE from the celebration and how she slipped up and said "toward the end" I believe she knows more about his death then she lets on and I am certain that she and a few others are not being honest about that but I have not come across anything else that she has said that she would really need to lie about at least so far.

I'm mainly interested in their musical collaborations and their time together inspired each others creativity.Someone asked Andy last year on her Facebook if she had written many beautiful songs about Prince and she replied"Yes,many, probably too many."I also ran across an old Facebook Q&A she did with her fans on October 22,2013 and someone asked her if anyone had ever written a song for or about her,who's heart she had broken and she replied,"That would require me to have dated someone and I can't recall having done that.!""Then she posted"Wait...I think Prince may have written some songs about me.. But we'll probably never hear them." Andy put that out there herself for speculation.They seemed to be on bad terms at that time but appeared to reconcile soon after.I would like to hear the rumored extended version of Time and Andy's song she wrote about him,Mr.Bravestrong that was originally supposed to be on Superconductor.People that heard the snippet her brother played on FB Live said it sounded like Prince was on backing vocals.

In all honesty, I feel like there was definitely something there...I tend to play devil's advocate and bring the subject back to Andy's music. Nothing but love...

And we're not? Don't get me wrong, Mo, I too am an Andy fan. I think her songwriting is phenomenal and she has artist has grown and has become one of my favorites. But we are purely just guessing what her songs are about since we already have some sort of idea. And she did say that she still draws from her experiences with Prince.
