Really enjoyed Andy's stage-it earlier! Jake,her guitarist is great too.She hopped on FB afterward and performed The Calm and Oui Can Luv.She's really grown as a singer/guitarist since her days with P and The NPG.I know he'd be proud,not that he wasn't already.

I believed at the time that he shared what you described with Mani.He seemed so at peace and happy in his interviews during the Musicology era,I thought they had a good marriage-of course I realized a year later that wasn't the case.After their divorce,Prince was mostly seen with aspiring starlets and others in the business.He was seeking those women out it seemed.I thought Misty Copeland was a refreshing change since she was already accomplished in her own right and she comes across as intelligent and authentic.When she came on the scene,I hoped they were dating& for a while they seemed to be but it ended up being more of a one sided crush,on Prince's end,though it was rumored that he tried.Dr.Funk said in a podcast that Prince originally wrote U Will B about winning Misty away from her boyfriend before changing the lyrics and turning it into a sweet love song with Andy.

Very practical answer, but maybe as simple as they weren't a night owl
Like him. The famous scenario of missed opportunity, she was coming in the door as he was going out. Going in the restaurant as he was leaving. Being seconds ahead or behind the other. I think it must be a case of narrow pockets of time of just missing each other but perhaps feeling the others presence but not knowing exactly what or why you feel the way you do. Kinda like a
Dejaveau but that isn't the right term. if you consider
The lyrics in SHOE seems like he knows/feels her out there.

I'm curious of others answers to this question.
