I think that comparing lack of credits to Jim Crow is pretty insulting to the actual murderous shit that was Jim Crow. This is a woman not being properly credited on a record that came out 33 years ago. I 100% get a racial sensitivity to it (black women were so pushed out of credits more so than anyone else in the industry), but I don't think that's what is in play here. I don't think that's why people aren't visibly speaking up about this. I think they're not speaking up because Jill has said pretty nasty things about them. Openly. That doesn't mean they shouldn't. It just makes it reasonable that they aren't. In fact, it makes it surprising to me that Susan and Lisa even mentioned Jill in their stories. But how do you think Jill would even react if suddenly Wendy and Lisa were fighting for her proper credit? I suspect, if that 2016 FB attack against the Revolution did not happen, the timeline of events would have been very different. She probably would have been a guest singer on some Revolution shows etc I mean a lot of this viciousness among these female associates probably would not be so available if these grown women didn't act out this way. Did I not admit to dragging her for having sex in the bathroom. I have not changed my mind about it all.

Most of the women are women of color. He certainly was involved with white women.

Robyn had her threads closed on this site I know because I had to org note her. Cutting off her opportunity to speak is dragging not to mention all the negative comments from orgers.

So my opinion is not skewered. My opinion is coming as a real fan of JJ. I've bought her music after she left the Prince camp. Most people here going 'team JJ' cannot even come close to me.

And know nothing about her. Some are just race baiters, or people who hate certain band members/proteges,and want her to act out a certain way 'for them' selfish people.

I'm thinking about her 'name' her brand, and how things look from a bigger picture.

Not to mention I've talked to her and we've emailed each other.

JJ came under fire because of her rants. She put it out there, and like Mayte, and anyone else know or should know their will be backlash. People also came after JJ because of her post 2016 rants against Prince like agreeing with Sinead OConner that prince was abusive.

ahhh yes clarification is in order. i meant don't care about her issue to the extent that others

might, not at all meaning to say that you don't care about her as a artist or person and/or her situation, just not

to the same degree/extent as others may. like i care about P's music being released but not to the extent that others do, but i don't try to convince them that their extent is wrongfully placed. Their

level of passion about the music release issue is their level. i not going to blast them cause they

keep to their position on it.

and i was just asking not at all trying to be tacky. if i had cause to be more direct i would

Actually it came from the previous owner of the First Avenue club when explaining how Prince started to act like it was his nightclub. I doubt it is gossip and Jill herself posted the story about the two of them being awoken by her stepdad while they were in parked in Prince's car in her parents driveway.

She is the one talking about how it was hot in the car.

There are other stories about Prince doing in his limos and cars that I will not go into.

Funny how on that thread everyone is talking about how classy she was for not talking about their relationship and now she is talking. Oh I still think having sex in a public bathroom is gross.
