(LISTEN TO THE SINGLE "HEART OF MINE") Prince's sisters introduce The John L. Nelson Project: Prince's Father's album

Check out Prince's sisters introduce The John L. Nelson Project.

"Introducing The John L. Nelson Project!

John L. Nelson was a prolific Jazz musician most notably known as the father of the musical genius Prince Rogers Nelson. John L. Nelson wrote and composed many songs which were never recorded until now. John L. Nelson was the catalyst to Prince's musical inspiration, and this project is the first recording produced in Paisley Park since Prince's passing.

This promo is a segment from the short form documentary about the new album that will be released very soon."

UPDATE:

The first single entitled "Heart of Mine" will be released on Thursday, June 29th. This would have been Prince's Father's 101st birthday.

The album entitled "Don't Play With Love, The John L. Nelson Project" is scheduled to be released on October 27th.

Wow, this is Sharon trying to get some bucks. You know she said she had never been in Paisley Park before on The Today show. Perhaps if she gets some fame as a producer she will pipe the fuck down.

SNJ cashing in.

I love real jazz. If the music is good I might buy it. I'm sick of the constant cashing in complaints. No one is forced to fork over money to anyone. You don't have to tour PP, don't have to purchase merchandise or associate albums or concert tickets. It's all voluntary. I bought Shelby J. Adrian Crutchfield's albums because the music sounded good to me. I was happy to give them some business as I know they're independent without the help of major record labels and probably are self-financing a lot of what they're doing. If that means I'm helping them "cash in" oh well. I don't care.

first new music recorded at paisley park? i thought that was tyka's song? i call shade lol

anyway, this is a nice project, i'll be looking out for it cool

it also hints at the possible fact that these sibs are not negative toward releasing songs
or whole albums. so let's wait and see what they do once they get the go ahead to start
pulling stuff from the vault.

I do not think any of the sibs are aganist putting out music. The only people holding up music is Lonny and company.

You do not have to care but remember these 3 are working with Lonnie who has done a lot of damage to the estate. What sort of sibs would want to work with someone so under handed and greedy. Who may be costing the estate millions of dollars and directly going against Prince's wishes which is important since nothing Londell has done so far as made him anymore sucessful than Prince was with running his business.

I"m with you. And this SOUNDS like a really interesting project and I like what you can hear of it in the promo video.

It LOOKS like crap, however…that album cover is horrid.

I think it's great that John Nelson may finally have his music aspirations realized. Hopefully the album does very well and they put out more.

This sounds quite interesting. But even more interesting, Paisley is still being used as a recording studio...

You need to understand that he is the reason we may not be hearing a vast amount of the vault material for a good while. Enjoy John's stuff but I want to hear Prince's music. The fact that they are working with this fuck up and maybe he is taking advantage of them is a appalling.

I don't care about that either, this is usually the case with most of the music that I like...

http://www.mncourts.gov/mncourtsgov/media/CIOMediaLibrary/Documents/10PR1646_Memo2_6-9-17.pdf UMG is making it plain that if this agreement is not ended this month they will sue and at this moment they are doing nothing with the music at all. These two asshats are actually writing letters defending Londell while UMG is calling him out for fraud.

IMHO there's nowhere near enough money to be made from an album of jazz music written by a deceased pop star's father and performed by unknown studio musicians for Londell to be overly involved.

I love this idea and will buy it, but it has far less appeal to the general public than even an album of unfinished Prince music.

Wrong he is managing Sharon and her corporation SNJ. Trust me he is involved.

It will be interesting to hear what kind of music Prince grew up with, his musical genealogy. There are those who like to think that he came from nothing.

The wooh is on the one!

How about focusing on releasing music from the massive vault? I like the concept of the John Nelson recordings but I would prefer to hear something John recorded at Paisley when be was alive. This stuff seems to be interpretations. I am sure the real stuff exists as much time as Prince and his father spent at Paisley.

Sounds beautiful. Wish Prince was here to see this come to fruition.
