Time Waits For No One - very good album

With the recent leaks of Come Home, I Guess I'm Crazy..and the old leak of Train i am rediscovering this gem of an album. I always loved Jaguar but never gave the others much of a close listen. I remember why - although she has a great husky voice, the songs just do not stand out on her album. The arrangements seem to have been weakened somehow. For example, Prince's version of Train is just stellar...with those harmonies sung after each lead line. Mavis' released version just does not impact as much. Prince's Come Home is another where it just stands out as a great song. I never thought so ith Mavis' version althought, with my recent re-listen, I do like her version.

I think it boils down to the fact that Prince had a naturally emotive voice.....when he screamed and shouted or squealed it was even better but his natural voice was so unique and emotive that he could make weak songs good and great songs incredible.

It just reminds me again...it is so damn sad to have lost him...

Besides the 3 mentinoed, are there any other Prince versions circulating of those songs on Time Waits For No One?
