Hahahaha, maybe so.

On a related Prince note, I think Sheila E or Appollonia will be the next two to write a book about their life and times with Prince. Something about Sheila gives me a strange vibe. She is distant. I wouldn't classify her as the classic profiteer but she's riding it.

What do you think?

I've heard some things that made me blink once or twice .....

They can all do what they want, but I don't trust the intentions of any of them with the exception of a couple of people. All looking for a little while longer in the spotlight. I don't hate anyone but I am definitely throwing a side-eye at many of them.

Whatever happened to that one person on here who was supposed to write some kind of something about her times with Prince. I remember her saying she had peddled some puss to Prince but I didn't quite get if she gave up the details concerning the pummeling. What's the status on that report?

Yes, yes ,pardon me. I just thought that since she made such a big splash about her slinging puss to one of the most famous men in the world ,that surely, by now , there would be some information available to the forum. So sorry for asking that. Thought I was on Reddit.

Anyhoo, she was quite proud of broadcasting the 15 minutes of fornication fame. Maybe she spent some long many-a-days with him and learned to play an instrument . Word was that he always wanted girls who could play an instrument or blow a horn or something. Maybe the story fell flat after it was revealed that there were like 15000 others who may have been able to say the same thing. What a bummer. I should probably go now.

Prince should have never married? It's who he married as opposed to the concept of marriage itself.

These were monsters he created with all that luxurious pampering. These were exotic pets that he thought he could tame and modify into house cats or lap dogs.

Put 'em in an apartment, get a used leased car (in his name), one debit card (with 1k spending limit per month), and let that run its' course for some time. After all, they were traveling all over the world with him in a private jet, dining at the finest restruatants and didn't do a damn bit of house keeping. In addition, they were getting a proper daily amount of sex , I suppose. What more did they need? Jesus, that wasn't sufficient enough for the virgin? She could barely speak proper English!

The problem is that they had nothing to offer at the time of consummation, yet, he made them a priority when all he was to them was an option. These were not highly educated women with established careers. Qute frankly, they were pretty faces and a hole. Prince couldn't see that he was geting that already?

I hope he changed his religion to Islam in the elevator. Just maybe he will get a few virgins and start all over with nothing but sex to offer.

A lot of these songs are in fact, a carthasis, to rid of himself of the wretched nightmares of lavishing these women with an exorbitant amount of attention, pursuit, and of course , CASH! In return, he wanted control and loyalty beyond what the poor creatures could stomach. So it is when you create the monsters.

For him, imprinting his lifestyle on these exotic felines was to last forever. He forgot that these young, dumb and... individuals do grow up . When they do, control is no longer an option because some were inherently corrupt from inception. They too have their legions of users unabashed.

Did he not know that poverty trumps honesty any day? Where was Pastor Larry and all of his prophetic visionary discernment? Spooky Electric won.

Those sweet innocent faces hid those nasty fangs and claws . When the perceived betrayals came in the form of a smiling Judas, the facade of the most beautiful girls in the world, must've resembled that of a toothless wretched sea hag slowly extracting bits and pieces of your soul like a lamprey latches on to its' prey. How many times can one man see this?

The hags were now hardened and filled with knowledge because you taught the hags everything . The hags understood secrecy, deception and how to inflict pain when you are helpless because you trusted the pretty faces with all of your secrets. They repaid you by getting serviced by underlinks, plebians, and minions whose claim to fame was that you lost the battle and the war . The facade killed you because you could no longer trust ,my friend. You chose death and I salute you ,brother.

Back to the studio and the composition of another cryptic song. There has got to be something cryptic in the vault that we haven't heard but would readily understand.

Good to see you and dont stop..clapping

Prince cheated on Mayte; Mayte cheated on Prince.

Prince cheated on Mani; Mani cheated on Prince.....with Eric Benet. lol

I think Prince really wanted to make both marriages work; but it didn't work out that way. They are all to blame; not just one person.

Prince should have never married.

I often think of that and I remember he sent everyone home. Prince wanted to be left alone and I always think of the lyrics of his song

I don't think his death was accidental in the purest sense of the word. That may have been the conclusion of the ME but only because her guidelines dictate that. I dont disagree with her conclusions but we do know that she didn't reveal a full and complete picture. She could not have determined at that moment what particular impulses Prince acted upon. She can't measure things like shame and guilt as it relates to the dynamics of suicidal thoughts that day. Some make it sound as if he "accidentally" chose that one pill (out of how many) that happened to have too much fentanyl in it. By definition , this is an accident. But how many pills did he take? Did she say? What was his mood like a day before , an hour before , a few second before?

Though I concede that I am speculating here, it is an "either or" for me. Either (a) I believe the event on the plane was the precipice that shattered the facade of self reliance/preservation. Coupled that with the demand for intervention ,swirling rumors of addiction/dependency/ Aids/ etc., these things just may have been the canary in the cold mine that nullified the will to live in the days to come.

Or (b) he was severly addicted to several illicit drugs and could not process the thought that he almost died of an overdose. Since his cognitive skills were not affected or diminished ( as evidenced by playing a gig) by the overdose, he may have rationalized that it wasn't something he needed to address in such short order. The evidence supports that he duplicated this risky behavior in a very short period of time which tells me that there was an irrational impulse at work here. It may have been the power of addiction , or the urge to embrace death.

As I stated, it is not unusual for things like shame and guilt to play a prominent rold in the dynamics leading up to suicidal thoughts and behavior. These are two very distinct emotions that can affect the brain quite differently.

It didn't have to be this way.

I have never once, nor do I at this time, doubt that things ended exactly the way Prince wanted things to end. People should consider accepting that much.

But hey...this thread is titled Mani instagram post. We (me too) need to stay on topic to avoid having the thread pulled or comments snipped. A new thread can be started if further discussion on the above is wanted. Don't want to keep losing info people have posted.

THIS!

It is the duplication of the behavior that sticks out to me. Thank you for so eloquently pointing this out.

Well, Vashtix, eloquence is not really my strongest attribute but I'll take it. Thank you.

I don't think a lot of people realize how extreme the man was.

1. It was he who was the sacrificial lamb that provoked the debate about how record labels structure deals with artist today in the modern era ( and paid a price).

2. It was he who was the sacrificial lamb that provoked the debate about how on- line retailers and streaming services pay an artris (and a paid a price).

3. It was he who was the sacrificial lamb that inspired so many artists today to control their creative rights and masters (and a paid a price).

4. It was he who was the sacrificial lamb for parental warning on music (and paid a price).

5. Do I dare say that his overdose was the catalyst for robust debate on opiate addiction (and that he paid a price)?

Prince functioned within the rules of operant conditioning and relied on external rewards and punishments as if they were equal. "If I write slave across my face, what do I get'? "If I write a song about you, will you then become my favorite lover"? "If I dismantle the band ( even if it is the worst decision) ,will you see that you are nothing without me"? He lived by positive and negative reinforcers.

Perhaps to him , his death served as a positive reinforcer of the true person that he was even though the event itself was negative. You get it.

What troubles me is those people who were willing to kick a man when he was not only down , but dead!

You have a right to express yourself if you have first hand knowledge that he had so many flaws, but what is the purpose of re-writing his history with unfounded rumors ? So many of these "cafetaria catholics" who ate from the masters table and sung his praises when their belly was full and their hearts merry with wine, are now all too willing to besmirch his legacy. Is that what they call love these days?

What ? No way! Last time I tried doing that OF4S had me in front of the council.

1st question he asked me was whether or not I was here to disrupt the force.

I kindly replied: "Did you drag me before the council to moderate or meddle in my affairs? There is a difference".

He then stated: " I sense anger in you ,Menes.".

I replied" I sense meddling in you. A Lot".

He then replied: " You wont survive the org with such negative thinking , Menes".

To which I replied: "I know who your favorites are , but I dont want to survive in the org like that".

There was silence and the council reasoned amongst themselves. Militant was cool . I think he was pre-occupied with something. June was on the phone hammering out the details with Sharon about her cd release. I could tell that was going NO WHERE fast. Luv was eyeing me up and down but I had dressed to impress in a paisley suit with matching stacy adams. The cravat was to die for so I think she gave me a pass.

He made me promise not to start another thread or I would face banishment.

I replied: " So what if I start a thread about a book writtten by..... Mani? Would you banish me"?

He gave me a connect and told me that they would be calling me for details.

I have to wait Mumio! I just can't smooze my way in the doors and get in good with the council to start a new thread. These things take time. Ugh!

Perhaps if it were a non-controversial post? Thing is, going off topic can also get you in trouble. Go ahead and give it a try, start something new. I wouldn't think the mods care at all if you are just looking to chat about Prince.

Well , It may not be directly be related to Prince as I tend to stray at times. I did have a very nice title but it may cause discension amongst the faithful, since it was about the faithful.

Did I mention the council? I am a bit fearful ,so under my paisley suit, I had two phone books strapped to my chest in case anything popped off. Something about the way he bangs that gavel unnerves me.
