Morris Day on 227

I totally forgot Morris had a guest spot on 227 starring Marla Gibbs, Hal Williams, and Regina King. The episode is called "The Prince". It originally aired February 4, 1989, season 4, episode 13. It's on Decades channel right now. It's on almost any cable service, and over the air antenna, too.

Morris also had a short-lived TV show called New Attitude:

Yeah, that's where he was a hair stylist, the "prince of perms". It was the next thing he did after 227. It had a whopping eight episodes, but only six aired I think. Sheryl Lee Ralph was in it, as well as a young Larenz Tate.

It aired through August, but by the first airing in September, it was canceled. Those last two episodes were never aired.

It was based on a play called Beauty Shop (not related to the 2005 movie).
