If anyone is going maybe they can get clarification from her about what happened to the ashes.

I'm going to this. Looks like she'll also be at the Mall of America the next day.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has interviewed Mayte prior to her appearances in Minneapolis.

The book signing was fun. Mayte brought her daughter with. She read the portion of the book where she is meeting Prince backstage at the 2nd show they went to. She took questions from the audience, then signed the book. I brought an Act I tourbook and wanted her to sign that too, but the lady in charge of keeping the line in order told me she wouldn't sign anything else. I got up to the table where she was signing and she said she remembered me. I couldn't believe it. lol One of Prince's old security guards, Marvin, was her security for the night. I did get my tourbook signed too! biggrin

I made my friend ask the question, lol, which was why no mention of Prince's mother in the book. She was a little confused at first at what he meant. She said listen to When Doves Cry to know what she was like. She also mentioned that she loved to listen to her harmonies in the car, but that she didn't really know her too well and didn't spend that much time with her. Most of the questions were pretty light hearted.

I went too. It was fun. I told Mayte how Summer of 1995 was when my wife and I started going to Paisley Park regularly and how we must have seen dozens of shows there when she was in the band dancing and singing. I said we had been to some video shoots too and she said "Rock and Roll is Alive!" and we talked about how fun that video and filming was. Got book signed and photo. SHe had a little dog with her too!

She does a good job interviewing. I'm glad she's getting back to MN. She seems to be doing much better with her grieving process. I k is it was a long time ago, but it's still got to hurt.
