Yea I should have clarified in the OP - I was aware of the Jill J album and the Madhouse side projects. I particularly dig the latter. I only just recently purchased the Family and absolutely LOVE that Album.

At the time of the post I was most curious about Andre and Jesse's solo work as well S W&L

Thanks for everyone's feedback! I have been pretty immersed in Jesse's stuff as I am a big guitar person. It's amazing to me that his solo work did not reach greater mainstream attention. I find it fantastic.

For me, while Andre is a quintessential figure in the Primce story, I just can't quite connect.... As a side note, I find his comments so odd that he missed out on Prince's work post-1981, when he was obviously a global megastar. Seems like sour grapes on some level...

the Family ie FDeluxe has a few great ones, and St Paul has some solo albums, I believe Eric Leeds has 1 or 2 Suzanna Melvoin & Jellybean have written some great songs for others.

Jill Jones has albums done after leaving the Prince camp

Everyone has different taste but If you are adventurous with your music, I think you should try Vanity's Wild Animal and Skin on Skin. I love both albums. They have some really good songs in my opinion, and although I personally thought her breathy vocals were amusing - on the Vanity Six album, her vocals were much improved.
