I am going to put this whole story to rest right now. Mayte's charity is 100 percent legit. That post was created by somebody who wont even put there name to it and is a bunch of lies trying to make Mayte look bad. Wow, Dave....I must ask in all sincererity if you have sat your friend down and had a heart to heart talk about whether all this is worth it in the long run? I'm not talking about whether or not she has the right to do whatever, but moreso about the fact that she will always be attracting obsessives of one stripe or another whether its fans of Prince, Jill, Apples, Mani, etc. Obsessives doing the kinds of things you describe are those who do more than criticize because I do not believe that any public figure is above "legitimate" criticism.

Even false allegations can end up causing major setbacks though.


It's her life but I hope she has a plan B for her pet rescue if this keeps up.

Mayte has much more exposure and people are loving her now because of the book and want to help. I remember when she did that Ex's show and people were leaving comments that she needed to be kicked in the face and calling her a "skinny bitch" and saying, "no wonder he left your ass" (all wrong) and now they are telling her how much they love her love the book etc. And so of course, this helps with the rescue as well. Hi LOVESYMBOLNUMBER2, I know your question was directed at Dave, but I might be able to shed some light on why Guidestar or something similar would zero income and zero assets. 501(c)3 organizations having $50,000 or less in revenue in a tax year are only required to file a 990-N. The 990-N is literally just a few basic questions, and the only one that pertains to income/assets only asks if the organization still receives less than $50k/yr- so basically just a yes or no question. That's probably why GuideStar lists zero income, zero assets- because essentially there is no income nor asset information reported/available to be reported for organizations who are 990-N filers, rather than those who are required to file 990-EZ or 990 which require a more detailed reporting of financial information. And searching on the IRS website, it does show the rescue's required 990-n filings and it's included in the IRS's organizations who is eligible to receive tax deductible donations.

factually - she was writing it while he was alive.
Books release itn the Spring and fall - that is a typical publishing cycle. She had zero to do with the release date.
How did she trash him? Did you read the book?
If you have a problem maybe you can work it out with a therapist.
The fact that his bothers you so much that you have to fabricate information just to be angry speaks of a deep seated lack of self worth.
