I have to agree with Malbena. Has Apple's even done anything since Falcon Crest? Don't underestimate non Prince fans knowing Mayte. I'd drifted away from Prince in the 90s but I recall them being a pretty iconic couple. The front page magazine covers, music videos, tv interviews, concert clips...Not to mention all the global newspaper coverage about their marriage and the speculation about their son. Maybe if non Prince fans have forgotten her then I'm pretty sure they will have forgotten the cast of Purple Rain too.

Both of my brothers are not a hardcore fan, but they know Mayte and my younger brothers corrects how I say her name.

He knows all the Revolution, the Time members and a few others.

I always try to proselytize people into the purple world and I'm always pleasantly suprised at peoples knowledge of who is who.

Many know Apollonia, but seem to know Vanity more and mix the two

Hopefully, they read what people think of them so they refrain from attacking others on social media. Before people tell me they may write whatever they wish on their page, which is true to a certain degree, it is important to remember that public figure should represent themselves under a positive light in front people. Even Prince understood that by keeping his private life...ah, private. He never went on tv or what not to attack his peers and kept all this behind close doors.

They spoke their feelings about Mayte. Mayte and fans of hers must accept everyone is not her fan. I respect she was his wife and was his employee . However they were close with Prince and have every right to give their opinion.

I do not think they care if Mayte fans do not like them. They feel for Prince and they have a right to do that just as Mayte has the right to speak of her time with Prince.

I just do not believe or appreciate much of what is shared . I think there are liberties taken by all since Prince is gone.

I've always found it interesting (almost like full circle) that he was with these ladies two months before he passed away. Jill, Apples, and Susan M went to his concert in Oakland and were seen at the after party in San Francisco. He even tweeted they were going to be at the concert. I always find it funny how people knock Apollonia down (she hasn't done anything ... blah blah) but girlfriend don't need to write a book for $$$ - behind the scenes she's a successful business woman. Has property in CA, HI, Paris.

But they also have to act responsibly being public figures. Posting shade and comments that could be viewed as inspiring hate on social media is inappropriate. Especially now in light of people such as Kirk receiving death threats. They have to appreciate the majority of people interested in reading their comments are Prince fans and not all of them are a full shilling!
