I wouldn't go if they are just the opening act, especially if the tix are that high and you don't like the main act. I saw them several years ago and enjoyed the show but they were the only act in a small club and the tix were $30.

Ordinarily I would say yes if there were a complimentary artist on the bill they were opening for. But this sounds like an odd pairing, and if, like you said, you weren't impressed enough with Derulo to delve more deeply into his music, then...nah
