Thanks. It's nice how on each interview she shares some new tidbit, like on a previous interview it was how the song It's About That Walk came to be, on this one she talks about that second time she met him on recent years and he playfully asked her name, etc.

I think it is interesting how she keeps telling interviewers she was planing on going paisley park, to check on him, like she had an open invitation and just couldn't get her schedule worked out...blahhhhhgg

That's not what I interpret at all. She has stated how unsure she was about going, because of her daughter as well for sure, but also because she did not know what kind of mood he would be in, depressed or angry.

I would think before you struggle with the decision about doing something, you would check and see if you would be allowed to walk through the door, she had not been there in a very very long time, because he did not want her there. I would certainly check on my level of welcome in a place I had not been welcome in,before I got on tv and talked about going. And in The end she did not Do anything, so why keep talking about a thought that occurred to you that you did not act on. When she talks like that she infers that she was still part of his life, which she was not.

BINGO! Obviously, Prince wanted nothing to do with her since they divorced. Just grandstanding for the cameras.

Also, seems like Prince was making mends in his final years, but no mention of such with Mayte or Mani.

All the assumption is amazing... Need I remind you that nobody knows what goes on in Prince's or anyone's head? We don't know how he felt exactly about Mayte or Mani, or any other person, in his later years unless he told us or did something that revealed it. As for wanting nothing with her because they were divorced... excuse me? I know plenty of divorced couples who get along, especially couples who didn't at first, but later made ammends. If he did come out and gave her a hug mid concert like she says he did, then he made ammends.

"All the assumption is amazing... Need I remind you that nobody knows what goes on in Prince's or anyone's head?" That did not stop Mayte from ASSUMING that if Prince was alive, he would be proud of her book and support the release of it. Also, in 2011, Mayte got in her feelings, because Prince had the unmitigated gall to send word that if she wanted to see him perform at The Forum during Welcome 2 America Tour, she would have to purchase one herself and ran to social media to bitch about him and her Stans caped for her. It's reasonable to surmise that he kept his distance from Mayte for a number of reasons based on distrust.

That was five years before his death. We don't know what happened in between that. Accoridng to Mayte, he came out and hugged her during a concert. That was 2014, I think, not sure.

And yes, Mayte is assuming Prince would be ok with the book, but that's her word about it. The fact that the family does not seem to disapprove of it kind of makes it look like it's ok, but no, we do not know for sure, that was my whole point.

Interesting because she just said on live tv that the last time they spoke was 7 years ago. Also if she was so concerned about his health, and wanted to visit him, she might have thought about using the phone, that is what most people do when they want to visit someone, especially someone you are astranged from. The fact that she was torn about what to do, suggests that even a phone call may have been met with a resounding "no thank you".

I guess that could also be the case.

I think Twitter or IG was her preferred way of communicating. Didn't she Twitter Sheila E about missing rehearsals with P back in the day in 2014 and wasn't that how she made contact with Shelby J? Could have my dates wrong...

God is my Sugar Daddy.
