I have to greet with you. At first, I thought that I would go. But, let's be truthful here. For hardcore Prince lovers who have been ride or die since the beginning, we ALL know that if Prince were here, the Revolution wouldn't be ALLOWED to perform. Yes, they are supposedly doing a tribute to Prince. But, how are you going to tour without the creator of the group and the writer of all the songs? I am sorry, I just am not feeling this now...still way too soonπŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”

The Revolution performed without Prince when he was alive.

I attended one of the First Avenue shows and of the 50+ concerts I saw last year, it was the one I enjoyed the most. So to answer your question, "How are you going to tour without the creator of the group and the writer of all the songs?" They're going to do it just fine.

Glad I'll have a chance to go to this event unlike the others.

Now that I'm free I let the wind blow me...

Not knocking anyone who will go to these concerts, but personally I will not attend anyone's concerts unless they were touring before he past. Not The Revolution, not NPG, not anyone's. They could be in my back yard, I won't go. I don't know, maybe it's part of my grieving process and I'm at that angry phase, but I can't help but feel resentful... Maybe my feelings will change a year from now, but at the moment, I just can't bring myself to feel excited about all these tours. [Edited 2/6/17 4:51am]

Got 4 tickets to Detroit. Me, my mom (who's in her 60s), my brother and his wife are going. For me, I feel like this show will be healing. I was never allowed to go to concerts as a teen during the 80's, so I missed all shows when he was with the Revolution.

I don't care what others are saying about this. The fact is, this band was with him when he was catupulted into superstardom. My brother, who has never been to a Prince conert, nor listened to much of his music, is excited to go because he's a musician himself. He wants to hear any band full of good musicians.

I anticipate the shows will be great.

Got my Seattle tickets. The question is whether to go to Portland too to see the penultimate show?

I think it's wonderful that they are doing this tour. It's another way to keep this music alive.Prince is gone, but that doesn't mean that his former bandmembers shouldn't tour and not do their part to keep this music alive.Remember, they are a part of this music too. This is a part of their legacy, too.

So they were allowed to perform as The Revolutions and he was ok with that? I thought I heard differently.

Prince was okay with it. Here is a thread about a Revolution show at First Avenue back in 2012: http://prince.org/msg/5/376373

all the interviews with Bobby Z were clearly that Prince was fine with it, even to the point where they had his guitar on stage just in case he wanted to jump on stage with them

Are you kidding me? Eric Benet of all people. That ticks me off. Traitors.
