Went to see them at BB King Bar and Grill. They were on fire. Wildly impressed with all three of them. Marva King and Darmaris there too. Liv is at DC to today. Check it out if you can.

The show was simply amazing! All 3 were uniquley different and yet you could just see and hear P's imprint allover their performance. Thought they would have done a few covers of their former employer's material but frankly their own material standsout all by itself. Shelby did a nice edited Musicology version and then I thought she was going to go into Illision, Coma, Pimp & Circumstance...LOL I was like call me an Ambulance. The Band (actually Judith's band I believe) was super tight all night. I was impressed and even shed a tear or three as it was so heartfelt and apperaed to be as adverstised...real music by real muscians.

They graciously (at Shelby"s behest) stayed and greeted folks as well as posed for nice pix. Shelby is indeed a soul & knows many of the fans need this healing process. Liv has some pipes and definitely can hold her own in the ballad dept. Judy can play the keys and has the falsetto of a beautiful bird. She has star potential and I can see why Prince worked so closely with her.

If you get a chance go see these Purple Ladies....Please do!!! I have a feeling someone above will appreciate you showing his girls some love.

Thanks so much for the review. I love how Prince was able to bring people together and create lasting friendships amongst band members. 💜 Oh and I actually Like that they're not really doing Prince music. They're able to shine on their own. Sheila take note. wink

When I saw JUDITH in June at the Highline Ballroom I was blown away, I was honestly still debating going because it had just been two months since his passing and it felt strange, but it was like therapy going and for her as she said "i need to be on stage now more than ever". Her with her band which featured her mom and dad and a guitarist from Rufus, and her background singers it was just one of the best shows I had seen, and when she did 3121, I just looked at the back door on the stage and that was "prince's" cue to come make a suprise walk on like he did when I saw many others shows, when he didnt I think reality had finally set in, that he was gone.
