Little Red Corvette: Mi-Ling Stone writing a book Stone Poole has already come across people who doubt her story, and expects to find a lot more: She's working on a book about her life, which has taken her from the Twin Cities to Oklahoma, where she worked as a prominent newspaper columnist and radio host.
Stone Poole's book will also divulge some of the secrets she's kept about her relationship with Prince, and how it ended. I saw her youtube interview a few weeks ago. She does seem to me to have an interesting story to tell about her own life, some small insight about the young Prince, and maybe more than one of the earlier songs may have been about her. From all indications she was part of the little Minnie circle in those early years. Plus, she says that the story of LRC isn't what it sounds like it is, which the answer to that will be in her book. Sounded pretty convincing after she was done. | |

Kinda strange thing ive noticed on most of the threads here..Not many recognize or state the possibility that songs are not always about just one person...Just like in poetry, song lyrics can take inspiration from many things even in the same song. The song could be MOSTLY about someone specific but then there might b a line or two inspired by someone else. It sounds like P used(as he often did) very clever metaphors in this song. yeah but we knew that would happen. it would be intresting to read about the MPLS scene during that time and from a woman's perspective. i think sue ann carwell would/could write a very interesting book,too. i've always imagined that there had to be more talented women around town.
