Manuela - FB Post about Prince from five years ago In light of recent events, I was re-reading this post from 2011, and it makes me wonder if Mani knew something was amiss with Prince when she posted her FB message:

Well I could see someone posting.... that on Fb Cause she could be really mean herself.... I mean 3 times she around when I was... she was pretty nice nasty..... On Manuella----- I was looking at some photos on the internet of her and Prince and I noticed that (as we've all pretty much noticed) that when he was with her he was very relaxed and fun and seemed not to be as focused on his image as he had been in the past, He seemed to become more of his "real" self ---- and I thought, "You know, maybe she isn't so bad" I mean, somehow she and Mayte are friends, so I thought maybe she wasn't the opportunist I'd always viewed her as. As I was thinking this and looking over the pics, I thought that in Mayte's pics with Prince they seemed more "posed" and not as relaxed and natural. Then I see that Manuella wrote under one pic of her and P (I think it was the one where she's blowing bubbles) "Just two people in love- No posing , no airbrush, no photoshop, Just two people madly in love" and, I thought, "Damn! that is some serious shade to Mayte" Maybe I'm overthinking it but sure seems like a backhanded comment. | |

If she was trying to shade Mayte then she ended up shading Prince because he was the one who had those photos airbrushed. As far as the "blowing bubbles" photo, why would you want to airbrush a black and white photo at all? [Edited 5/16/16 17:48pm] Love is God,

Wow. I just read some of that. Sounds like there were some red flags... That sucks. Easy to see them just as jilted lovers at the time but... Dang. Surprise, surprise.

I thought they were a cute couple (and I also liked Mayte too), just wanted Prince to be happy 
I mean I could be wrong, but I see that as a reflection on "hollywood relationships". People that go out of their way to be seen and play the game. They coordinate press, go to all the right events, officially release pics, etc... and there she seems to be saying we're not really about that. This is real and it's for US, not the public. I can respect that.

Prince loved Mayte enough to start a family with her, and he wanted many children with her, unfortunately it didn't work out. With Manuela she knew from the beginning Prince had already passed that stage in his life. She just thought she'd manipulate the situation with time but she couldn't. She was able to do it with Eric. After getting pregnant, they married. | |
