Hi Prince,

I believe we all come into people's lives for a reason. You came into mine 5 years ago and each day we spent together talking, traveling and playing music, the more I learned about myself. You taught me how to love so deeply with no inhibitions, but you also taught me about heartbreak. You taught me how to push myself beyond my own limits, how to be strong, how to fight but also how to be vulnerable and be present. You are a mentor, a friend and much much more. We shared a great love, a great many laughs and tears. I wish I had told you more, what you meant to me.

I am so grateful I had the honor of knowing you, the man and the artist.

I am the woman and the artist I am today because of you. I love you and miss you.

Wow. Gorgeous picture. It's amazing how Prince had this great ability to have a very personal yet distinct relationship with each of the ladies he romanced through the years.

Yea she was definitely quite young but I think she influenced him a lot (i.e. hair, music etc) and made him happy. He loved the young girls.

I saw Lala's tribute. Very touching. You can tell he always pushed his friends/proteges/musicians to be the best they could be.

That's a beautiful picture..never saw it before. Their relationship reminded me of Miles Davis and Betty Mabry. She was younger than him and turned Miles on to new music, clothes and rocking the Afro.

Interesting you mention that. I was re-reading some of Allo's old interviews around the Superconductor release and she mentions how P had been hipping her to Betty Davis (Bety Mabry). I got the sense P viewed their relationship similarly.

Wow peri1025!..Really???...I didn't know that. Very cool! She even resembles a young Betty Davis.
