It works for me. Maybe it's blocked in your country. What does this song have to do with Prince anyway? He can't take it down.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

The first YouTube link works for me. It must be North American rights only.

This is my favorite song on the Condensate album.

Anyone in the "know" know why the touring version of the Time doesn't incorporate some of the new songs in their tour? It seems like a no brainer to play them and promte the new cd. It doesn't matter that its not the originals because the others songs they play are not theirs either. It could really work. Record new albums with the Original 7 and promote it with the touring version since the Orignal members are too lazy to tour. It could really work!!

I would guess because the O7 wrote and recorded and it isn't the O7 anymore and since they barely did anything on the original material it doesn't matter who is in The Time anymore other than Morris.

TTTPG... The best Minneapolis Sound track ever. Can you imagine if that had come out in 1987? Or 1990, even? Good GAWD! Prince can't touch The Original 7even.

You're kidding, right? It barely sounds like Minneapolis (more so after 4mins when it goes to the coda) and it's not an amazing song. It's a good song, but it's FAR from being "the best minneapolis sound track ever" LOL.

That award would go to "777-9311" IMO.

Toast To The Party Girl wouldn't even make my Top 20 songs by The Time/O7.

Jesse's solo is awesome though.

yep,it reminds me of the new wave-styled sound of songs like "After Hi School" and "Delirious".I see it as a tribute to that era.

An awsome song from a fantastic album. It was such a let down that the guys never had the stomach to push it. They set out to do so and then it all seemed to fall apart. Too many egos I presume. I hope it hasnt laid to rest any notion of another album at some point in the future, but unless Prince picks up the phone and asks the guys to get back together with his involvement, I fear we have seen the last of them.

This album was more consistant than any album I've heard from Prince for some time. It had a few songs that weren't great, but the ones that worked were stellar. IF I WAS YOUR MAN, SICK, ONE STEP, TOAST TO THE PARTY GIRL, HEY YO, GO HOME TO YOUR MAN... all of these are great songs.

I wish they would have gone out on tour. People think that they only got back together briefly, but this run with them all together lasted longer than the original line up of The Time. These guys played long term gigs in Las Vegas and spent a lot of time working on this album. I really wish they could have found a way to make it work.

I love the energy, the fun and the funk/rock on it. These are musicians who know what they are doing and this shows what master craftsmen they are/were.

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

like Jesse Johnson said, how can you have this phenomenal drummer in Morris Day and use a drum machine for the enitire album? And the album??? Well, unlike everybody else, i thought it sucked. The Time is a LIVE band and should've recorded that way. WAAAAYYYY TOO MUCH talent for some bullshit like this album. Why you think Jesse bounced? Pandemonium was a far better outing.

^^ you do realize that drum machines were used on the previous Time albums, don't you? Not on every song, mind you,but they were still used.

why do think Jesse bounced?

Jesse has issues. He bounced in 1991,too...when the band were getting ready to play some dates in Japan. His strange behavior has nothing to do with the quality of the album.

Owch! Pandemonium is pretty dull to my ears. Worst Time/Prince effort of the lot.

Pandemonium is not only my favorite Time album, but my favorite non-Prince Paisley Park release ever. It's the perfect blend of Prince songs and ones by the actual band members for a change without Prince. By the time Ice Cream Castle was released, Prince running the whole show had gotten tired.

The album grew on me. At first I really didn't care for it then about a year and some months ago I finally tripped on it. I don't see any point in comparing it to the oldest Time album or P's recent output, it is what it is but i'm glad I finbally got to enjoy it. The "Condensation" speech is so wonderful that I rehash it to anyone commenteing that I'm sweating (which happens often in India) lol lol lol

nod Yes. The Pandemonium album is a far stronger album than Condensate, hands down.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
