Say Nice Things About Tony M.

Tony gets more hate than any other prince character. Or.. band mate whatever you call them.

But i think that ole Tony has some good qualities. Purpose of this thread is to say nice things about Tony M.

1. His name! come on... it's a perfect rap name
2. He fucked Prince pretty good! researchers even say Love Sign was written about tony m. Bang Bang goes the bistol was code word for tonys big dick
3. Jughead would have sucked with or without him
4. The Goldsnickers album had one and a half good songs on it. That's more than Carmen Electra ever had on her albums
5. He had more hair spray than Michael Jackson.

Now it's your turn org. Say something nice about Tony.

Sunshine was code name for Prince's hole. When tony would get off and cream in it.

er

Within the concept of the Diamonds & Pearls tour, it worked. Half an hour into the show, Tony took over for Jughead, with Prince off stage, and the all of a sudden, Prince appeared on the video screen to rap his part and the crowd loved it. Tony's raps were okay on Willing And Able and then the show got pushed to a climax with 1999, Baby I'm a Star and Push and by then even Tony could do no wrong anymore-damn, those shows were good!

I watched a show last night from the 1993 Act 1 Tour and in my opinion, Tony M just about ruins the show for me. To the left.............To the right.........

Lets be honest here prince fans and fams...

Tony M had the most influence on prince in the 90's. He was the Wendy & Lisa of the 90's for him.

Tony couldn't come up with a line that good on his own. He stole it from Harlem Nights:

But I will say something nice about Tony: The Goldnigga album is better than NewPower Soul.

I always liked Tony's contributions, his rap in the studio, unlike Carmen's, was as good as any other rapper at the time. The issue, what really toasted him I guess, besides some reactionary reactions by some conservative fans, was the terrible, terrible way he shouted when on stage. How this guy was able to have such a soft voice in the studio and shout like a maniac on stage always beat me, it's as if there were 2 guys in one lol

I'm quite sure if he had only been a guest on the albums and the lead voice on Gold Nigga instead of being a bandmember who contributed the tours, he would be much less unpopular.

He has a distinctly different voice than Prince which gave a good contrast and variety to the music.
