I don't know what to say about that. My first thought was $50,000 is chump change for Prince and he should pay it, but then, just personally knowing several former A-list celebrities over the years that are no longer raking in big bucks, and equating Vanity's situation to theirs, Prince probably has given her money over the years but she is always in a perpetual state of need. Sad.

I know everyone will yell at me and tell me to just click on the link but I don't like clicking on links I'm not familiar with (viruses) so , what is it? Is Denise trying to raise funds herself to publish the book?

I don't know too much about Denise's situation, but it seems that if she has kidney failure, she would be on SSI or SSD (suplemental security income or social security disability). She would get Medicare or Medicaid. This would cover something like 80% of the cost of treatment.

This is from the Kidney and Urology Foundation of America: "In 1972, Congress passed legislation making people of any age with permanent kidney failure eligible for Medicare, a program that helps people over 65 and people with disabilities pay for medical care, usually up to 80 percent. Other public and private resources can help with the remaining 20 percent. Your dialysis or transplant center has a social worker who can help you locate and apply for financial assistance."

As far as the multiple surgeries she says she needs help paying for, hospitals have social workers available to help people find assistance with paying bills when they don' have insurance or adequate insurance. At the very worst, she could just file bankruptcy and wipe the slate clean. Besides that, medical collections do not have as great an impact to one's credit score as they used to.

With prose like this, who wouldn't want to pay shitloads of money for her book:

"250 high blood pressure over 190"

I mean seriously...what the fuck kind of language is that? That's not how you would say it. Maybe "high blood pressure of 250 over 190" but...yeah. Seems like she doesn't even have a friend who's willing to proofread her donation request, let alone her book.

I hope somebody is giving her good advice like this.

Wouldn't it be great if the associated artists and/or prince did a benefit to raise funds for her? I'm sure that would bring a good deal of support.
