Interview with NPG Vocalist Elisa Fiorillo Dease

Mr. Christopher interviews Elisa Fiorillo Dease about how she met Prince, began singing for New Power Generation (NPG), working with Jellybean Johnson, how Morris Day (The Time) almost got her disowned, and now into her new project Dease and Reese. Find out what's Prince's favorite track is off the album - http://funkatopia.com/fun...llo-dease/

Thanks for this. It was a nice interview.
I actually didn't know that she had this long history in the Prince camp! I will check out her stuff.

Thanks! It's actually a pretty good album if you're a pop fan. The Lollipop ice cream song that is Prince's favorite is very theatric in a Queen sort of way. And we'll definitely be playing the track A Momma Who Knows How 2 Funk. Great tune.

Stay tuned for a giveaway of some autographed CD's on the Funkatopia Facebook page coming soon. But as always, stay tuned here at the Org for the latest and greatest Prince related news.

Wish I had nice things to say about her. My x was friendly with her thru some anime dubbing job at the time. She auditioned me for voice over work in 2003 and not to be a jerk or anything, but she went out of her way to be as unpleasant as she could be to someone who was trying to break into VOs. If that's how hard P was on her then I hope I never meet him.

Uhhhh.. WEIRD intereview.. NO sound from Elisa.. Are we Supposed to IMAGINE Elisa's answers or what? You did a such a Great job with video editing that in the dead air segments you could have voice overed whatever, are we supposed to know what Elisa is saying?!?!... Epic Fail.

If by epic fail you mean that you possibly listened to the audio in mono for some reason, then yes. Skype records calls in left and right sides (no idea why), so if you only listened to oone side (the interview side) and not in stereo, yeah, that may have been an issue. If we have some time, we'll flatten it into a mono recording at some point.

U are correct. My apologies. I will listen to it later properly. So sorry, didn't realize her audio was in the other speaker. Yes my means of listening at the time was in mono.

working with Jellybean Johnson

You realize she's referring to Jellybean Benitez and not Jellybean Johnson, right?
