I kind of remember reading back in the day that Jimmy and Terry were going to have their own project called "The Secret" (maybe with Lisa Keith on lead vocals)..... even remembering reading Terry saying he was saving his signature bass playing for that record vs. their producing projects.

Anyway, could y'all imagine if they instead made this (in the video below) an actual concert?

I"m still trying to decide if it's live or pseudo-live..... but if even it's lipsyched, this is one of the rare times I would give it a pass, because they clearly re-recrded everything and made it seem pretty damn "live"!

I'ts hard to tell becaue the clip might have audio delay so not sure we can go by Janet's mouth vs. the sound.

Her non-singing ad libs sound live.... but when she does that laugh it sounds a bit pre-recorded.

So do y'all think this is really live or they pre-recorded it to sound "live" like the Control video?

It's mostly backing tracks with a little live ad libbing. It was kind of a trend for a while to do it that way. I hope Janet will be featured on the Jam and Lewis album. We know SOS band, Cherelle and Alexander O'Neal have new songs on the record. Hopefully Janet and New Edition are also involved.

Do you think they were singing live and their audio was just turned down?

At the MJ 30th annviersary speical I heard that what happened at MSG was live and they re-did all the audio for the broadcast that we see on TV.
