What did NPG(aka Prince) prevent LISA & WENDY to POST?

http://www.facebook.com/p...mp;theater

I didn't actively follow their page, so I'm not sure what video this is that the Prince camp

just struck down.

Isn't this the rehearsal where they played Mountains? If so, W&L should have a strong case considering that they actually co-wrote the track.

The wooh is on the one!

That's silly, For some reason I don't think Prince actually had that done.

Someone reported it to Facebook YouTube and they don't really look into anything 1st, the respond only

Wendy & Lisa can contest that (edit)

http://www.elevatehope.or...lyjamm.php

The last band to play was the reunion performance of Prince's backing band The Revolution featuring Wendy Melvoin (guitar),

Lisa Coleman (keys),

Bobby Z. (drums),

Matt Fink (keys),

Eric Leeds (sax),

BrownMark (bass)

and Susannah Melvoin (backing vocals).

The Revolution last performed together in 1986. There had been several attempts to reunite but it never happened to this date. Lead by Wendy on lead vocals, The Revolution went through a set of their greatest hits: "Mountains", "America", "Pop Life", "Raspberry Beret", "Anotherloverholenyohead", "Purple Rain" (featuring Patti LaBelle on backing vocals) and "Baby I'm a Star". They sounded fresh and relaxed and it made one feel like no time had passed since they took arenas by storm touring with Prince in the '80s. Baby I'm A Star was truly a "Family Jamm!" with all the artists uniting on stage dancing and singing together until the final note closed the concert on a high note.

The song in question was supposedly "Mountains", at least that´s what some of the people on FB said, and Renata, the Girlbros. administrator pretty much confirmed this by saying that Lisa and Wendy wrote the song but I could be wrong.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

It was a rehearsal for the Family Jamm. I had seen it. I forget which song it was, but I think it was Mountains. It was a rehearsal like backstage, not even onstage.

So ridiculous!

LOL wow, I meant Youtube

lol at the same time I was writing this a friend got a similar type thing from Facebook, about their own picture. Facebook sent them a warning (someone reported it) then gave them a disciplinary action.

I must be upset at Facebook

Yes,

We even had it posted here on the .org about a year ago, or was it around the time of the Revolution reunion.

So if the .org allowed it, it can't be illegal.

I thought most of the songs they performed at that show were full band compositions

It says in the notice that they received third party notification from Controversy Music.

Yes, guys, I'm not saying that Prince sits atop Mount Doom or his Death Star control tower instructing his minions to shut youtube links down.

But implicit in the affairs is always Prince. You don't see Pearl Jam's camp/company shutting down Temple of the Dog videos.

The 7-minute video was for Mountains and America performed by The Revolution without Prince. It was shot at a rehearsal for the 2003 Family Jamm Show and featured the entire band as well as Eric Leeds.

It sucks that they had to take it down.

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

However, Wendy remains sanguine. The duo performed at The Family Jamm!, a charity concert in 2003 which saw performances from a reunited Revolution and other Prince acolytes like Shelia E, The Family, Apollonia and Chaka Khan. There was one notable absentee, however.

"Everybody from the Purple Rain tour was there, something like 365 people, including the truck and bus drivers," Wendy says with a mix of sadness, disbelief and anger. "Prince was the only one that didn't show up. And it's just a bummer that he has to make that kind of line in the sand. He doesn't realise that he's missing out on a tremendous amount of good feeling. He sold himself short and I reserve the right to think he was entirely wrong for doing it."

It was also posted under "The Jam Rehearsal", so that just tells me that his legal team keeps an eye out for what former employees are putting out there. It had been up for over a year, why now? I lost so much respect for Prince when he didn't show up for the Revolution reunion, I would have killed to be there and couldn't go, and a band of his friends who helped him succeed and get him to the top plays a show in honor of Bobby z and his pety little ass can't show up? I would be PISSED if I were Wendy and Lisa for his "people" threatening me on a song I co-wrote. He heard it, loved it, they created it together and now it's just his? Love him, but total DICK move.

Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

sad part is if they are being censored

it's almost like a person keeping secrets

and how that can backfire on the person

Like Lisa or Wendy said, this was their life too

%100 agreed nod

I lost lost of respect for him after all the shit he did to stifle W&L about them wanting to talk about their past about him( the so called letter that was sent to Lisa when she tweeted it on her twitter page when Lisa reported that) its like its their past too and their memories but to take credit back after a song they helped them right and he approved of is a complete utter DICK MOVE on his part...the respect that i did have for him after is GONE for this move...people say it isnt him but his "people" looking out for him i call BS.. he would not be after anyone if he didnt TELL "THEM" to do so so yeah its a call on him point blank...at least Wendy and Lisa have my respect always have...

*maybe off topic* but on a side note... i remember the day i chatted with them when they had their radio show and they had a chat room...it was brought up hat Lisa's mom had cancer(dont know what kind she never did say.. her biz...but we was all asking how she was) ...i told my story about me having kidney cancer and that i was cleared not long after and told my daughter cried and told the doc ty for giving her momma back .....typing away thinking they would not see and was maybe gonna be ignored... they ARE NOT like that at all... THEY SAW!!! Lisa answered in the chat to me...she gave me alot of encouragement by saying only a few words to me i never will forget it and to me they respect their fans more then prince does...
