So...I'm sitting at my desk, editing a video, and a call comes in from a number that I don't recognize. I answer it, and someone just starts talking and asking about my day. At first, I thought it was a telemarketer, until she asked what I thought of the 'Superconductor' album. I screamed "oh my god, is this Andy?!!". We chatted for 15 minutes, and she couldn't have been nicer. Now that's what I call market research.

She was really nice....we chatted about my job, and lots about the new album. She says that the Yellow Gold single is next, and she's going out on tour in May, starting in the Midwest and heading east. I asked her to make sure that the band visits Seattle (cause I'm selfish like that). Nice girl.

Oh! I should mention that it sounded like I was her first call...I was kinda rude at first, as I thought she was a telemarketer. when I mentioned this to her, she said "oh thanks...I'll have to remember that for next time".

Cool story! Did she mention going on tour with the NPG or on her own with her own band? Just curious...

Will someone explain why she is calling people and where she is getting your phone numbers? Is she trying to get feedback on her album? Just curious.

she is just dialing numbers at random in the hope they bought her album. since leaving prince she has been bored

she is just dialing numbers at random in the hope they bought her album. since leaving prince she has been bored

Andy announced some weeks ago or so on FB that if people give her their number she'll call some of them and have a chat. It's a pretty smart way to connect with your audience, if you have the time for it.
