Koo Koo-Sheila E.

I LOVE this song! She's adorkable in the video too and didn't even have to take off her clothes. I love the jacket and shirt, and she's making Prince-like quirky faces and the glasses are cute. Did she do the instrumental or Prince did?

I love the video, but I think this was a poor choice for a single. The song is funky but it lacks a strong hook.A catchier song like "Faded Photographs" or even "Pride And The Passion" would have been a better choice.

Always dug the 12" version, more or less just an extended longer version, not one of those lame modern remixes that completely changes the song.

For some reason she always looked much younger in this Video, than the one's that came before it Sister Fate, Glamorous Life, Holly Rock etc. But in reality she was much older @ this point. That woman is so youthful.

Yeah I like this look on her and did a double take, cause I knew her for how she looked in Glamourous Life with the Blonde hair and later on in the 00's with straighter hair when I caught her on VH1

She was probably rested.

Prior 2 this Sheila was working touring working touring

the Glamorous Life tour, the Purple Rain tour opening videos side shows and award shows from Europe 2 America, the Romance 1600 album recorded somewhere in there, the Romance 1600 tour, Parade era shows, Krush Groove movie video shoots for both album recording and promoting Sheila E the album ... she was working non stop

by the time Lovesexy hit it's middle mark Sheila looked unhealthy, you could see her rib cage and then she either had to have back surgery or or lung collapsed that's why she was not in the Batman band lineup

That didn't happen until the early 90s.

the lung collapsed in the 1990's?

I know she said something around the Lovesexy period of having back surgery for playing drums in heals as much as she did

It was some time around the Sex Cymbal album. I remember her being on a talk show (Arsenio Hall I think) and she was talking about it on there.
