Jessie Johnson - D'Angelo's new guitarist!

Rehearsals began yesterday for the Europe Tour.

Chris Dave - Drums

Pino - Bass

Jesse Johnson - Guitar

D'Angelo - Rhodes

Sort of explains his early exit from the reformation of The Time.

Off the scale!

I really think this is what happened.Jesse got restless and wants to get out there and do a full, complete tour NOW! The Original 7ven have said that they're gonna tour this year, but so far it's just been a few select dates and TV performances. To add to the confusion,Morris is continuing to do dates with the 'other' Time band.Maybe Jesse simply wanted a 'sure' thing?

If I remember, they said that they were going to tour late Spring/Summer 2012. Morris still has shows lined up with "Morris Day and the Time." So conceiveably, D'Angelo may be off tour by then and Jessie may return. That is if he is even interested.

If D'angelo's UK run is short, that scenario is doable. I wouldn't mind seeing him doing both shows. Call me greedy. cool

Side Note: If Prince is being such an asshole about the use of the name, "The Time" why would he allow Morris to include it on his side gigs as, "Morris Day and The Time"?

Best I can figure is that Morris never tried to record using that name.

Jesse has officially left The 07. The other members silence speak volumes. I would not miss this tour 4 the world these are some of my all time favorites......

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

There's a Morris Day & The Time gig @ BB kings in NYC for July 2012. There was some vague tweet from the O7 about January 7th @ 7pm. So we wait...

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

I'm trusting that there is some enterprising engineer involved with the rehearsals

who will record them just in case something happens and the tour/album manages

to not materialize.

I know I would.

There's mention of a D'angelo track being played tonight on this thread.

No single needed here. The fact that Pino is back and Chris Dave is there speaks volumes. Those cats could play with anyone of their choosing.

Jesse made a musician's decision, one that could really pay off for him. Hope it does.

i don`t know for sure, but most likely it will be the track "blackhole sun"

(a cover of the tune by soundgarden).

it leaked a while ago, but created a lot of buzz the past days. it was recorded

in 2003 at d´angelo´s house. i heard it`s NOT on the new album, but we`ll see

if that is true. you`ll find this song on youtube.

Love...thy will b done
