I know that this is just speculation, but last night Questlove mentioned that he just met Jesse for the 1st time

Then, Questlove tweets a picture of Chris taking a break from rehersal saying that it will be "Europe's Luckiest tour".

If this goes down, I've got to hear what they come up with! I know there's been speculation for a while, but now this looks like it can happen.

I hope they come to the States.

4 jesse 2 live the time 2 tour with d angelo makes no sense at all .dangelo is a watered down wanna be prince so that would make it appear as if jesse really wanna b prince guiatrist. i would never leave a group like the time 2 work with somebody like dangelo even though i like dangelo music

Perfect sense. Obviously you dont know who Chris Dave and Pino are. The band will be amazing and as much as I love the time and Jungle Love, I feel musically, this band will smoke the time esp after seeing then perform recently. They came off as lazy and uninspired

no i dont and dont really care who they are at the moment no disrespect 2 u and im sure they are amazing but it seems lazy of jesse 2 leave something he came back 2 (reunion) 2 only months later leave again 2 go 2 a prince wanna be. umm but didnt all 7 of them say there are no other musicans they would rather share a stage with than eachother???? i know we all have our reasons 4 why we venture fourth but this just seem kinda lAME. yet watching the nokia concert the o7 doseem lazy and unispired no hype in the show for a group that claim 2 love working 2gether so much.i think they need prince in there life 2 fuel the fire

The Time"reunion" has been ongoing for the last fours years, not two months. They've just released an album and done a few shows. There was actually an album they already finished a couple years ago. They scrapped that and came out with "Condensate". Calling Jesse lazy, because he wants to actually play music and expand his muscical horizons is wrong. I don't know the Og7's personal ups and downs and don't care to speculate.

I am however, very excited to hear Jesse Johnson in this band! Being a musician myself, I understand the need to grow and explore different musical landscapes. I can't see myself playing music I played in a band 20 years ago. I tried and it wasn't that fun. I'm more interested in going in new directions. I suppose JJ may have felt the same.

No matter what, this band will kick ass!!!

Looking 4ward to it. Saw Jesse with The 07Ven a few months ago h3re in Cali4nia. Now he is with my other favorite artist D'angelo... The naysayers r hating. But this is a show not 2 miss.....Maybe D will let Jesse open the show also....

If Jesse isn't going to play with the Time, he should be doing his own thing. He doesn't need to back up anybody

Who cares about Jesse anyway....really? Just plug in Tori and keep it steppin O7. Jesse never really fit in anyway with the rest of the group. He always wanted to be Prince and headline. Morris is the frontman and thats the way it should be. Go head Jess!! C'mon Tori!!

Maybe it doesn`t make sense to YOU - but to the person you are

talking about. I find it very interesting how you think you know

what`s good for someone (Jesse), although you don`t even know this person

at all. The fact that you`re not familiar with the other two musicians just

shows that you don`t really understand what this is about. And that`s part

of the reason why no one cares that YOU wouldn`t leave the Time to work

with D`angelo.

Oh and shouldn't Jesse promote is OWN CD? Makes perfect sense for him to be the backup for some guy no one has ever heard of(granted, no one has heard of Jesse either) instead of promoting his own work. Seems like he should open for The Time and then play their set. He would make double the money and promote his own work. Then again, I guess Dangela's stuff is better than his though.

For one, Jesse did promote his own CD. He did a small tour and radio appearances.

2nd, D'Angelo was one of the best R&B artists of the past 2 decades. It's been 10 years since he's released an album or toured, so people are really looking forward to it.

3rd, who says he can't be in D's band and be in the Original 7ven, too? It's not uncommon for people to be in 2 bands at the same time.

Personally I hope Jesse stays away from O7. He is nothing but trouble and always has been. The o7 are better without him IF they are willing to go on. Only problem is I dont think Jam and Lewis really want to tour so nothing will probably happen. Yeah I saw his tour of 3 whole shows. That was laughable
