Well clearly they're trying to force prince's hand here, right?

Wendy and Lisa have said themselves they're not exactly comfortable with Revolution reunions without Prince but as a once off, and for a good cause, it's hardly the end of the world.

I believe tickets to the Revolution reunion will be $50.00 each. I don't know if that is with or without surcharges, but probably without surcharges. Get your money straight...

1/ I don't care for that hammy stuff, it's boring to me.

2/ They had one date, but you raised the point about people seeing them live!

3/ Prince, himself, just isn't the be and end all of my interest in his extended network and past collaborators, what more can I say - my interest goes further than him being the numero uno. shrug

This is a bit silly. This show is in a good cause and we're here with the usual shit slinging, talking about James Bond and INXS! lol Only on the org!

Why is there so much resistance against musicians you grew up listening to getting together and playing music?

I know the die-hard fanbots are obsessed and offended that anyone other than Prince would have the nerve to play songs he wrote, even if they used to play them before, but there seems to be an air of resentment and its not all coming from the usual suspects, either.

What's the worst thing that could happen? They record the gig and distribute it for everyone who is not able to attend to see it? (pray Please let that be the worst thing AND let it happen) lol

Prince wasn't in The Family.

Anywho, this is something I'm looking forward to and I plan to be there. I'm a Prince but I am also a W&L and I haven't seen them perform in 21 years.

If it's not for you, why come and shit on everyone else's happiness?

oh for fucks sake

sorry the album releasedB y the family composed and performed by PRINCE with some muppets "pretending" they were involved

That damn Eric Leeds pretending he was playing saxophone and writing all the horn parts, and Paul and susannah pretending they were singing and Clare Fisher pretending he was adding a vibe that totally made this music more than a "prince" poroject.

PS- many people dug lots of W&L albums...sorry you liked one.

Personally...I love all these musicians.

Love is a strong word, and I don't use it lightly. These are all gifted and influential creative beings who helped form my musical tastes. Yes, of course Prince was a big part of that, but so were they. They were the players that I heard live. They are the players that I still seek out to this day, fascinated by their continuing creative output.

This is not about Prince. This is about the Revolution.

You can count on me flying from Sacramento to MPLS in February for this. Man oh man, I'm going to have to brave the snow. What a fantastic cause, what a fantastic idea.
