One of the best albums period. I play this one more than most "Prince" albums. The into to Mia Boca is epic. I put on this cd just for that alone sometimes.

i stumbled onto a jj interview a week ago and decided to revisit her 1st album. the verdict: it is a masterpiece!!! the vocals r sick, the music creative, the album is fun. they obviously took their time with this 1 and put the dollars into its production(i hear clare fischer all over this one) i have been obssessively playing g-spot,violet blue, all day all night, baby ure a trip & mia bocca. just when i thought i had found a weak link "4 love" i listened more carefully & know now that tony, toni, tone and the pussycat dolls flatter jill jones. i can hear "4 love" in "the blues" and "buttons" just as clearly as i can hear "1999" in "manic monday". in the interview with jj she said that warner usa was in a power struggle with p & did everything they could(nothing) to see she got no traction in the u.s. only warner europe showed her some love. thats a shame-jj had paid her dues, she had the look, the pipes & a masterpiece album. she was poised 2 reign but never got the love she deserved. well i love u white fox & it seems im not alone

It wasn't a negative spin, don't be such a downer. I wrote "Prince" in quotations because I know full well that Prince wrote the tracks. I just meant Prince proper albums.

Anyway Great album.

There are some very nice extended versions, remixes and b-sides lovingly sourced from vinyl that are circulating.

Fans of the album would no doubt enjoy these too.

Agreed. Fantsatic album and I think it's aged very well too. Violet blue is epic - anyone else love b side '77 bleeker street' - powerful vocal and definately one of the best, if not best, protoge albums - for love, my man. Awesome cool

Jill defintiely got some of the best material for her CD and she's got the voice to back it up! One of Paisley Park's best releases hands down.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Besides the music, this has to be one of the best album covers also. Jill looks cute as hell too.

It's a shame that Jill only got a budget for one music video for such a stellar album! There should have been proper music videos for "G-Spot" and "For Love". Taja got to do 3 music videos, and her album (although great) does not compare to Jill's. Shame on you Warner...

Great, great album: possibly the best Paisley park album outside Princes own albums.

Contrary to Vanity and Apolonia, this girl could SING and there are at least 4 fantasic songs on this album: my favourite being Mia Bocca (my favourite Prince-arrangement EVER, thanks to Clare Fischer also of course), while G-spot, Violet Blue and Baby you are a trip (those vocals!) are top-notch also.

Shame her career hasnt really taken off after this.

He wrote and produced two songs for Tajas' album: "Wouldn't U Love 2 Love Me" and "If I Could Get Your Attention".
